The last stretch of about 500 meters is little narrow and steep. Was not a problem for me, however if you have just started driving and not used to driving on hilli terrain, would recommend coming here with an experienced driver. Actually it is nothing to complain about, offbeat places are usually like this only, and the remoteness makes these places peaceful.

The location is splendid and the views are mesmerizing. The rooms are moderate size, neat and clean and well kept. It is a perfect place to unwind amidst Nature. The caretaker and other staff were extremely helpful and did their best to make our stay the best they could. The home cooked food is very good. We would return here again.

Perhaps a little expensive in comparison to other Homestays we have used in India.

Lovely place set among coffee plantation and countryside. Comfortable, clean and we were well looked after by the manager, Harish. Many other reviews praise his kindness and thoughtfulness. And we agree. The food was excellent and we enjoyed the local food experience. The place is in the country and getting there takes a bit of effort (we don't have our own transport). We did a hike into the mountains, with a jeep arranged by Harish. Nice hike but entering the national park seems very expensive for foreigners (1000 rp).

My family and my pet had a wonderful stay here. A special mention to the hospitality and attention to details. The caretaker Harish was always there to assist us and to make sure we were well taken care of. The rooms were tidy and clean. We enjoyed the amazing home food served to us on all 3 days. The property is pet friendly and loved the views we got from our room. I recommend FernHills to any travelling team looking to go to Tadaindamol trek or if you want to just get away from the city and stay in a place little off the main city of coorg. You will be well taken care of and the coffee here is amazing.

BEYOND HOME STAY! Felt like in Home with the excellent service from Karan, Harish and the entire family. Monappa was an excellent host, he took very good care of us during our stay and made us feel at home. The property is very maintained and the views from the home stay are just stunning. The bbq and bonfire was arranged for us in the evening. The service was very prompt and the food was prepared by Monappa’s mum who is an excellent with the food preparation as the food was very sumptuous and homely. I would highly recommend FernHills Homestay if you want to spend some nice time with friends or family.

The location is in the middle of coffee fields, so you will be so close to nature. So bugs will be there, which is kind of common in South India.

Stayed there for workation. The staff there including the owner, the owner’s mother, Harish were so attentive and always asked what I needed. Very homey atmosphere. If you want to go for trekking they will arrange the Jeep. The food prepared was so delicious. The chapatti the owner’s mother made was so superb!!! I feel so healthy after 4 days there!

Fernhills is a beautiful place to stay with family. My kids enjoyed the vast place by running around and exploring. night life around the campfire was the best. Food, aunthentic coorgi style, was tasty. The people there are veru friendly. Highly recommended to come and relax and have a feeling like ur at ur own house.

The location was beautiful surrounded by hills and misty coffee plantation we had  to go over a small stream to reach the homestay , its indeed a pleasant home stay minimal furniture and maximum comfort cozy mattress very clean and well maintained toilets.  Friendly host and went extra mile to make us feel comfortable. Even  small detail like mosquito repellent was given .Coorg style home cooked delicacy has variety in it; along with campfire and bbq was just perfect with juicy meat options. Has few rooms, if a small group rent all rooms, the whole property could be ours to enjoy campfire and play with kids peaceful all set for weekend within a decent budget
