I recently stayed at the Dutch Bungalow in Fort Kochi, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. This charming heritage hotel is a perfect blend of colonial architecture and modern comforts. The rooms are spacious, well-maintained, and beautifully decorated, reflecting the rich history of the place while providing all the modern amenities one could need. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, always ready to assist with a smile. The service was impeccable, making me feel truly valued as a guest. The on-site restaurant offered a delightful array of local and international dishes, all prepared with fresh ingredients and presented beautifully. One of the highlights of my stay was the location. Situated in the heart of Fort Kochi, the Dutch Bungalow is within walking distance of many of the area's top attractions, including the famous Chinese fishing nets, St. Francis Church, and the vibrant local markets. This made it easy to explore the rich culture and history of the area without any hassle. The serene garden and the inviting pool provided the perfect setting to unwind after a day of sightseeing. It was a peaceful oasis where I could relax and enjoy the tranquil surroundings. Overall, my stay at the Dutch Bungalow was nothing short of perfect. The combination of historic charm, outstanding service, and excellent location makes it a top choice for anyone visiting Fort Kochi. I highly recommend this hotel and look forward to returning in the future.

    1. Pool was out of service during all 3 days of our stay. Filtration problem. Water didn't look that clear or appealing until day we left when it seemed like the problem was resolved! 2. No alcohol licence. So bring your own. 3. Ice for a drink was usually unavailable/finished 4. Rained heavily 1st night. Room S1 water came in from the roof down the wall behind television. Next day we were moved to another room. S2 which was a better room.

Friendly staff. Sometimes waiting staff lacked experience but tried to help. Basic menu available.

    Nothing to point out.

The bungalow is situated very close to the St. Francis church, Chinese nets and other places of interest at Fort Kochi. There is no exclusive parking space for the property but the staff will help you park on the nearby road where the car will be under CCTV surveillance. Staff at the bungalow are nice and helpful. Even though it was difficult, the staff at reception was able to extend my checkout by an hour on last minute request. The heritage room and its bathroom was spacious and comes with all amenities. The common spaces in the building are also quite spacious and nicely decorated. The breakfast at the place has limited but good options. I should particularly say that the service of the staff at the restaurant was excellent.

Perhaps a few shelves in the shower area would be nice

This is a beautiful heritage hotel. Lots of old world charm. Our room was comfortable and well appointed. Good breakfast served next to the swimming pool. Wonderful way to start the day. Lots of small details that made us feel comfortable and warm... swing on the first floor; cookies and refreshments in common area; books. Most importantly, warm and pleasant staff! Hari, the manager and Jithin, front desk executive, are so professional and personable. Returning to this hotel at the end of the day was like coming back home.

The room we had was dated and in need of a good clean. There were also no mosquito nets on the bed and it was definitely needed.

Great location just out of the hustle and bustle but easy enough to walk into the main part.

Rooms need to be aired little more. They are closed all the time and when you first enter, one gets a little bit of musty smell. It disappears after running AC for a while

The check out process was a bit clunky. The receptionist didnt have my bill ready. He didnt have easy access to the dinner bill to be included in my bill right away. I had to make two trips to complete this bill paying exercise.

There was a hot breakfast being served with many options. The staff were very helpful to guests. The location of the hotel is excellent to reach various tourist destinations. This hotel does not take in many guests since the rooms are limited. At the same time they go above and beyond taking care of the guests.
