A/C is not working, and there is no fan in the room. We stayed at the end of March which is peak summer in Kerela. Our whole family with kids haven't slept for the whole night. Very suffocating and mosquitoes were biting if we sat outside of our room.

Location is nice, but there is little discomfort in reaching the resort, when you carry your suitcases. As there are no proper roads, you need to carry your suitcases for about 400 metres.

Did not stay as we had to travel by foot for 2 minutes from the main road with all the luggages to reach the property. Its not safe to travel there on foot by night.

Access is difficult , you have to park the vehicle almost a km away . No restaurant so have to order food from app .. breakfast has limited choice . All in all an OK experience.

The place was bank on the back waters ..The staff was prompt with the available services.

Room was disappointing - didn’t have a lakeview, coffee machine or a bath (as described in the booking for a superior double room). I had to request a change of room on arrival from one that was scruffy (and not matching the description) to one that was a bit tidier (and still not matching the description). No explanation / solution was offered either than the ‘correct’ room having been booked already. Suffered a suspect bed bug bite as well, which is a bit gross! Otherwise, the breakfast was fairly basic and not worth writing home about. There is probably better value to be had at other properties in the area, with all of that in mind.

Nicely situated on the backwaters, and the morning boat tour organised was great albeit very pricey relative to those in town. Staff helped to arrange a laundry service, which was nice.

Very comfortable stay, nice property to stay for families and couples. We enjoyed Shikara ride and shikara ride driver was very nice, he covered all the tourist points. The caretaker of the property , Mr Ajay was very. helpful. He took good care of our stay. Recommend this hotel for families and couples.

The bed sheet and towels were worn out and stained. It’s abit pricey for the condition of the property, especially compared to the villa next to it with similar price range. The motor boats also disturb the peace of the backwaters during peak season.

The room faces towards the water. The view was nice. It’s generally pleasant when there are not many tour boats. The property manager helps arrange the early morning boat tour. The helper was extremely helpful.

Ceiling fan should be available if you don't want to put on the AC. WiFi signal is weak in the rooms. I suggest to hook up Routers via LAN cable in all rooms. Some people like us do not like too soft beds. A small layer of coir mattress could be added as an option.

Chilanka Lake View Resort is just beside the lake.. means you can watch the boats go by whole day! Great place to cool off! It is popular in Alleppey and the Punnamada starting point is known for the boat race. Auto wala will take Rs 200 (Oct 2023) from the Railway station to the resort. Boat jetty to the resort is 50-80 depending on which side of the canal you are. Mr Tijo is very friendly and will help you fetch your luggage from the main road to the resort if you call him in advance from the town. Because the road to the resort from the main road is not for pulling your trolley bags. He will also inform you of the various other paid facilities available. Mr Ajay, the caretaker, is also very helpful. He and the other maids there will ask you if you need anything. They serve a great breakfast and tea/coffee! No lunch/dinner is prepared. But Zomato and Swiggy deliveries come in 30 mins for food orders. It was safe, cool and best place for a peaceful stay. Highly recommended. I will directly go to Chilanka in my next plan!

Even if the checkin time was at 12, we waited long time for the checkin. Also for identifying the correct location, we called many times and not got the call.

Bathroom- hot and cold water not labelled. Seat cover is not properly fixed to the commode.

Provided a simple Kerala style breakfas( No other options) its very tasty. Banana, tea or coffee. Simple but tasty.
