Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomAs mentioned above, the rooms on the street were quite loud from street traffic (although as foreigners we are just not used to the noise). We used the laundry service provided although the price was more expensive than we have seen in India. Just a small note, as is common in these bigger cities there was some pushing of tour services etc. from the staff. Initially we found this helpful however it was a bit relentless considering we already had plans.
The place was super clean, even the entrance stairs and landings were mopped and clean. The location is good although Jaipur is big so to get most places we had to tuk tuk. The staff were accommodating and let us store luggage during our last day. We also moved rooms as our first room was right on the street and the staff were very flexible to make it more comfortable for us. Great shower!!

South AfricaHot water finishes really quickly as the geyser is quite small. If you’re used to 2 min showers, probably won’t be a problem. If you’re more than one person, you would also have to wait a bit for the water to warm up again (although the wait won’t be long). Shower not separated by a door or curtain from rest of bathroom, so everything gets wet and cold after a shower.
The location was excellent - safe to walk around, in quiet street but close to everything, and walking distance to two very nice, ambient rooftop restaurants nearby. Property was clean and comfortable and as depicted in pictures. Staff go out of their way to help. Room had everything I needed. Restaurant/cafe downstairs serves tasty, wholesome food and a range of both Indian and Western items.

United StatesMy stay at the Baari House of Fusion was excellent. This is a beautifully designed and maintained property that is efficiently managd by Mr. Brajraj, the owner. My king room was spacious with plenty of closet and storage space. The bathroom was also spacious, and well appointed. Throughout my stay Mr. Brajraj provided assistance with all my Jaipur needs and questions. I'm fact, he even took me on a walking tour of some secret treasures that were hidden right in the neighborhood. The hotel has a restaurant, open all day, which has a menu that serves a variety of dietary preferences and needs, with an emphasis on healthy eating.

United KingdomNot the most welcoming of staff, but otherwise it was good. Back rooms don't have proper windows, but they are away from the road noise.
Great location and very near to the train station. Complimentary tuk-tuk pick up. But beware the pressurised sale from the tuk-tuk drivers. They are very persistent.

OmanTime taken to serve breakfast every day was too much. More than 45 minutes after request for breakfast was made. There are no options/variations in breakfast, so after the second day, it starts getting boring. Price is too much for the kind of hotel.
A small home turned hotel. Staff is courteous. The location is great. Food is good if you stay for one day.

I completely fell in love with hotel ambience. Staff were amazing, welcoming with great enthusiasm to welcome us, as it was our first Jaipur trip. Baari team, made it possible to celebrate my wife’s birthday so special with my kid and grandson. Best experience ever. Do book with Baari they are the best.

IndiaI wish they make the dorms more user friendly. I would have much appreciated a small note on the table saying "please use the porcelain cups for anything hot; commonsense, yet takes time to sink in to one not using much crockery, and living a minimalistic life". Bunk beds are on top floor may not have been so comfortable. Obviously the owners have never stayed in one I guess; also better and cheaper bunks are available, if one chooses correctly after reading reviews on Google and relevant reviews. Though in my case choosing it despite the costs gave me the possibility of being upgraded which was great and worth the money spent. If I was owner, I certainly would have tried to strike a conversation to learn from the experience of the tourist. A lesson for me for future.
The stay was good. Having been upgraded from a bunk bed to a top room (Sahasrara Chakra room- the rooms are named after Yogic Chakras) was both a surprise and a welcome treat from Jaipur. A first in Jaipur and very heart warming. The owners have really invested quite a bit into rooms and, the restaurant -pretty expensive for an unemployed single like me. It's a fusion of many things as also business and hospitality. The idea being that whatever you like can be arranged to be made and delivered. A bit like a showroom that lets you stay and eat on the displayed furniture and live on the beds and use the toilets and model rooms. The rooms are named after chakras and having involved international architects and artists the touch of artistry meets the concepts of Tantra and Yoga. Something in the room always reflects on the chakras. The colour, the art, the furniture and so on, though not at the cost of artistry or appeal, which works hard to make it feel friendly, sensitive, warm and inviting. Mohit and Braj both the owners are friendly and accommodative as is the staff very willing to serve and make one feel comfortable. Would love to come with friends and try the restaurant sometime. It's quite close to the railway station without the station overbearing on it. Located in an upscale neighborhood has accessible public transport, just a minute of walk away.

United KingdomThis is not a 5 star establishment, at the very best it is a poor 2 star. I had to ask for cleaning equipment to clean the room myself, then I even had to show them how to clean, the place was flithy, the room with a balcony was not a better room, the balcony is shared with the room next door, no chairs to sit on anyway, balcony door does not lock, wi fi code incorrect and took 2 members of staff to get connected to Wifi. no hot water, bathroom flooded, broken toilet seat and dirty old towels, a very unpleasant experience feel robbed by paying to stay therE.
Nothing the best thing about the flea pit was leaving it after one night !
