Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NetherlandsThe acoustics at the hotel are horrible - you can hear EVERYTHING that's going on in the hallway or the other rooms. Super loud.
The location is great, even though it’s not actually on Shenkin street. There are many cafes around and you can walk to almost anywhere in Tel Aviv.

IsraelThere was no parking availably - not at the hotel and not nearby, so I had to put my car in a parking lot 1km away. Another troubling issue was that on check-out day, I found someone cleaning my room in the morning, before checkout time! (with all my stuff still in the room!)
The room was small but very clean, no coffee makes (you could make coffee at the lobby, but it's not as convenient..) The hotel is located at the center of the city - walking distance to most points of interest.

Israelthe A/C did not work in our room. The expectation from a boutique hotel is that everything about it will be very well designed and high quality. We got the impression that they rushed to check off all the trappings of a boutique hotel, but missed the essence. at more than $300 a night, our expectations were higher.
The hotel is placed in a great location, the staff was friendly and helpful, the place was clean, and the beds comfortable.

IsraelWe felt that the staff were a bit rude and abrupt. Perhaps it's just a Tel Avivian attitude because it's not like that in the Southern part of Israel where we live. Patience and respect is all that is needed.
Room was standard, relatively newly refurbished, hot and cold drinks provided downstairs as and when needed. Amazing location, near to all amenities, shops and so forth.

Israelthe room was tiny, even though it was referred to a superior room. the price was high for a room only, even without breakfast. we spent over 1000 Shekel. another thing we didn't like was the fact there are only 5 parking spots on site, which were already taken, and we spent a huge amount of money in the parking lot situated in the same street as the hotel (Brenner Street). some kind of discount for hotel guests at the parking would have been appreciated.
the staff was very nice and courteous. we loved the fact there was always coffee and tea available. the location us great, very fun area

IsraelThe Devil is in the details. Started with the reservation process, when they couldn't charge my card, for myterious reason (which later on they admitted about a problem in their system) but as far as the room: Free water bottle in the room is nice, but on ours the seal was broken and it was over-filled which made3 it a bit suspicious, sleepers used by previous guest were left under the bed (even after I told them they didn't remove it), the sink water hardly drained, the shower side glass walls weren't sealed properly and after the shower the bathroom was filled with water. We were very disappointed.
Location was great. Lobby very pleasant, with nice touch of coffee, tea and cookies available 24 hours a day.

GermanyWe were in one of the two executive rooms on the top floor that are very beautiful and comfortable but there are some structural problems in the building, this is why I have put such a low rating. The most important problem is that there is a power generator on the rooftop that creates a buzz day and night. In the first couple of nights that kept us awake, then we got used to it. Maybe it's better to stay in one of the cheaper non-executive rooms that should be less noisy. Also, in our room we were able to open only one window and just for a little bit, so there was very little very little air circulation. All other windows were sealed, including the bathroom window. Staff were very helpful in terms of offering us the second executive room which was slightly less noisy but these problems could not really be resolved unless the management makes changes in the building, which I hope they do because otherwise it's a beautiful hotel in a great location.
Excellent location, large room, beautiful furniture, friendly and helpful staff, free tea/coffee biscuits at the reception, beautiful roof garden

GermanyI know Israel is expensive but compared with hotels in Europe this is a 3 stars hotel in the price of at least 4 stars. not very clean, a bit old. only one socket in the room, so I had to charge my iPad in the shower. mattress wasn’t so comfortable. quite noisy: when the room next door took a shower at night, the noise was very loud and I couldn’t sleep. they offer a breakfast in a nearby cafe, but the cost of the breakfast without the hotel voucher is 2 euros cheaper.
the location is very central, the Lobby is nice and functional and have some nice tables on the street where you can enjoy free coffee and cookies.

Not very clean, my bathroom clogged the very first day, and i saw coackroaches. Tarrace is not worth the hype. Price is very expensive for the hotel, location and everything. Not worth it.
