Mike is everything you could wish for and more! Not only did he let us stay way after checkout time (due to unexpected reasons specific for the time and circumstances of our stay) but he also took care of my hunger while I was working downstairs and was not able to get food myself. Besides Mike himself, I slept like a baby the beds are super comfy! Loved the complementary Netflix and chill ;) And just about everything in this place. We will be back! Thank you Mike!

We come back to Mike's House quite often when we visit Jerusalem and need a place to sleep because it provides the best value, i.e. a super clean room, comfortable bed, easy access, convenient location and parking, all at a competitive price. Furthermore, Mike is an amazing host. He goes out of his way to make you feel welcome and to ensure a pleasant stay.

There is nothing unpleasant about this hotel. Everything has been thoughtfully done and adapted to offer us the best experience. I love this concept and it should be more widely extended with genuine empathy and kindness for all guests.

It was fantastic. Mike is a wonderful person who takes care of everything. He manages the house perfectly, which is of unmatched charm and comfort in the area, and even in the world! I adore his perspective on things and his way of doing things, it's extremely pleasant and friendly. It feels like being in a small community.

Mike welcomed us graciously and helped carry our luggage to our room. We had a spacious, perfectly clean suite. The beds were ideal: firm and comfortable. I woke up feeling quite refreshed. Found free street parking right across the street from the entrance. In summary, better value than a hotel.

I came with more luggage than the usual solo-traveler. The room didn't have much room for my extra bags - but I knew that would be an issue going in so I expected it, so no complaints on my end. Just a heads up for those who come with lots of luggage.

Mike went above and beyond to make sure I had what I needed. He even upgraded my room and arranged for my airport transport. The room and the entire home was super clean (and I have high standards!). Mike's check-in directions were very easy to follow and the entire experience was very easy and smooth. The location was perfect for me and Mike was very responsive to all my questions pre and post booking.

I like everything what’s in there.. I’m just a simple person know how to appreciate things weather big or small.

Less noise I slept good. Clean,enjoyed the little garden sitting under the sun in the morning.No lot of people, feel free to privacy. Feels like I’m home.

This is not luxury housing, but this is what you'll get for $700. Want luxury? Go to the Waldorf Astoria and pay $3000. At first, the biggest problem was that I couldn't get the door locks to work. That turned out to be because they were all types of locks I had never encountered in my home country, the United States. Once I figured out how they work, that problem was solved. But it was very disconcerting on my first day, when I arrived and I couldn't get in! The only other problem was the mini-refrigerator. Each room had one, and they were all lined up together in the hall. The size was adequate, but for some reason everything tended to get wet inside, so you'd take something out and a few drops of water might be dripping onto you shoes. I suspect this is merely an adjustment of some sort, which can be corrected. But who has time for such things?

At first Mike was unable to be contacted except by WhatsApp, and I began to wonder whether or not he was even in Israel. But on the 3rd day I met him at the House. We hit it off immediately - I love this guy. When I first saw him he was on his knees scrubbing floors, and changing sheets on beds, because the Oct 7 war had resulted in most of his rooms being empty, wherefore he had to save money on the cleaning by doing it himself. I greatly admired him for that bit of humility, and I offered to help him (he refused). After I saw the attention he paid to the floors, I stopped worrying about them, and walked around my room barefoot after that, without concerns or worries.

Nice building, cosy room, comfortable bed, kitchen, you can sit in the garden. It’s peaceful. There is parking place. Mike was very helpful and friendly. I can highly recommend it!

Really nice room for a family of 4. Unfortunately we didn’t get to meet Mike, but he was super helpful in giving us any information we needed. Lovely restaurant ants within easy walking distance. Would highly recommend.

The location is not so central, but I knew in advance.

Cozy atmosphere. The room was not very spacious but enough for a couple of nights. You could make yourself coffee or tea and there were some cookies. Luckily, the premise was not crowded at all so the nights were silent. I could park my car just across the street for free!

I loved everything. Just heads up, there are a lot of straits if you’re not o the ground floor. But just request in advance.

First and foremost, Mike! He’s the star of this place. Honestly, if you are an avid traveler and you are a little homesick, this place will make you feel like you’re back at home but still in a great city like Jerusalem. Mike attends to everything and is genuine. We were a large family with a lot of requests. Nothing was too hard or too much. He didn’t rest until we were super comfortable. We felt so good and welcome. The facilities have a homey feel and the cleanliness is top notch. It’s been a long time since I really can recommend a place wholeheartedly like this place. Thanks again for a memorable weekend!

Mike's House is a great place to be. Located in a quite corner of Jerusalem, 45 min away from the old town.. Restaurants and supermarket are just around the corner. Outside sitting, kitchen and even some snacks, and a very friendly and and helpful host!
