Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaOur room was not well cleaned. The balcony was full of cigarette butts and I asked them to clean it a few times and no one came. The bathrooms could use better cleaning as could most of the rooms. I don’t rate it well for cleanliness.
Perfect size. Not too big. Food was fantastic and had tons of options for us. Location was excellent right by food and attractions and great shopping Lots of activities for kids

United StatesThey were busy so shady spots around the pool were at a premium.
We chose the Lagoona for a few days after arriving in Israel and heading to Jordan. The staff were friendly and accommodating. We had a marina view room that was good sized and well equipped. The restaurant provided very good, fresh meals with a wide and changing variety available. They provided some nice entertainment and some alcohol is also included. We did go out for a nice walk one evening, but other than that there was no reason to leave the resort.

IsraelSome staff members should be trained more for work in the hospitality business. The bar staff should not pick the nose in front of the customer at the bar.
The security guy (I believe Vadim) was exceptionally helpful.

IsraelIt would be great if there were tissues in the room. It would also be nice if in addition to soy milk, there would be oat or almond milk, or lactose free milk.
I want to point out that we stayed at this location last year, and it was so nice, we returned. The staff go out of their way to make sure that everything is satisfactory and taken care of immediately. A couple of examples... 1. When we arrived, we noticed that the handle of the balcony door was loose. I went down and mentioned it to the front desk staff. Within one hour, the maintenance guy replaced the handle. 2. One evening at dinner, the sous chef came to ask us (among others) how the food was. I told him that everything was good, but the beef was dry . He looked at the slice on my plate, went to the carving station, and had the rest of that roast removed, and replaced with a new one that was not dry at all. Other great things... The food was delicious. Large selections at every meal. There is an open bar serving coffee, soft drinks, beer, and other alcoholic drinks. Pleasant entertainment every evening, singers, acrobats, dancing. The pool area is nice and well maintained. While we did not go into the water, there are plenty of lounge chairs, and a pleasant sitting area with chairs and tables. The room attendants were quick and efficient. Everyone at the hotel is always smiling, saying hello, offering to help. There are always people sweeping, mopping, polishing metal, cleaning mirrors and glass, cleaning the elevators, and so on.

IsraelThe cleanliness of the rooms needs improvement. Those who come with a car have a high chance of not having parking at the hotel and will have to spend money on paid parking near the hotel.

ArgentinaThe hotel seems not prepared for foreign travelers non-hebrew speakers. We had to wait 40minites to do check in since there was no personnel that spoke English in the front desk. Information and signs are all in Hebrew, I had to use the translator in the restaurant to know what was the food about. As an additional recommendation, I'd suggest that they provide jars or non plastic glasses in the restaurant in order to be more eco friendly. Parking spaces are very limited so consider you will have to park somewhere else outside the hotel. There are some free parking spaces around.
Hotel amenities are just great. Rooms are very comfortable. If traveling with babies, they provide baby crib and food utensils. Also baby chairs are available at the dining room. The food is amazing, if you are not from Israel you can get a great sense of their culture. For coffee lovers, coffee from the barista is excellent. The kids staff is very friendly. We met a Spanish speaking girl, Bar, who really made a difference for.my daughter. She is amazing!

United StatesThe facilities could use better maintenance/upkeep and the pool and dining room were very crowded at times...Maybe too small for the capacity it was meant to hold. Also, I wish they had ping pong, billiard, air hockey, and other inside options. Would be nice if they could make arrangements with other Isrotel hotels to use their facilities (the hotel next door did have ping pong and billiards but said we could not use them).
The staff was exceptional, kind generous, and very patient. The food was delicious and varied. The all-inclusive makes it wonderful for families, especially for those with kids (or adults:) who need three meals a day. They also have lots of snacks during the day. The open bar and the frozen drinks were amazing! They even had staff designated to entertain the kids. Really enjoyable family vacation.

IsraelThis was hard - the only things we came up with was the following: 1- There are not enough conveniently placed electrical outlets in the lobby. It makes charging a phone difficult. 2- It would be nice if there were regular tissues in the bathroom.
This is an all inclusive resort. 1- The rooms are nice and clean and quiet. A perfect size. The nice part was the welcome gift in the room. A large bottle of water, a bottle of wine, a basket of fruit, as well as a wine bottle opener, and wine glasses. 2- The view from the room was incredible, and we were pleasantly surprised by a small balcony outside, with a table and a couple of chairs to enjoy the view of the marina. 3- The food was varied and plentiful. The highlight of breakfast was made-to-order omelets, pancakes, and a host of other things. Lunch and dinner had plenty of food with a vide variety of selections. Some of the food was a bit spicier than expected, but there was so much to choose from, it was not a problem. 4- There is an open bar until 23:00 every evening, serving all kinds of cocktails, mixed drinks, coffee and soft drinks. 5- Entertainment every evening was a nice way to cap off the day. 6- While it was a bit too cool to swim, we sat by the pool. Very relaxing. 7- The staff went out of their way to make sure that we were happy. Everyone had a smile on their face, and were extremely cheerful and pleasant, from the front desk staff, to the wait staff, to the housekeeping staff. 8- The hotel is incredibly clean and tidy. There always seemed to be someone cleaning the floors, making sure that there was no refuse anywhere inside the hotel or around the pool. 9- The hotel has a "kid's club". While we did not have any kids with us, the place seemed to be clean and full of activities. 9-10- There was one entertainer who had the day job of entertaining the children. 11- The view from our room was beautiful. 12- There is a wide age range in the hotel, from young couples to families with children, to older couples. The big question is - would we go back. And the answer is YES. We are considering a return trip next year.
