Having to leave the Cottage. For us there wasn't anything not to like.

Communications with Frances, The Host were great from the start. Engaging & Friendly. You got a good vibe before you arrived. Directions to the Cottage VIA Eircode which brings you to the door. Entry instructions clear & precise, simple. Location is rural however close to the nearest village which was exactly what we were after. Perfect spot to tour & discover West Cork. The Welcome pack Frances laid on went way over & above our expectations. Other reviews had complimented Frances however she had thought of everything & so much more. Frances takes enormous pride in her cottage & how it is presented. Lots of work has gone in to making sure the stayers have the best possible experience. Attention to detail would be a good Moto for Tilly's Cottage. The litmus test is would I recommend Tilly's Cottage to Friends / Family & would I return for another visit. The answer is 100% yes.. The Cottage did not get a 9.9 rating by accident. Lots of effort, hard work & thought has gone into this property by the owner. Thank you Frances for the opportunity to stay in your wonderful house which I know you are extremely proud of. Hope to see you some time soon.

It was a bit strange having to drive the waste to the dump yourself.

Frances is a wonderful host. Thank you very much for the big welcome basket! Very clean and comfortable, spacious, beautiful and quiet location. You can take many nice trips from there (Mizen Peninsula, Sheeps Head, Garinish Island, Clonakilty, Ring of Beara, ...).

Highly recommend! Frances is a wonderful host. Thank you very much for everything. The local produce samples were delicious. The house was spotless. Love the wooden features. Very relaxing. Kitchen fully functional. It was important to us, as we love cooking. Lots of pots, oven, blender... Lots of cups and plates. We were able to use fireplace, which made the living room even cosier. The view from the window is priceless. Location is perfect. Very close to Durrus and Bantry. We really enjoyed our stay.

loved it all! the cows, sheep, magpies, and yes, even the black birds!! couldn’t choose just one picture!

we had an amazing time staying at Tillys in Durrus. I coujx never get tired of that view! cottage was just darling and well cared for. Frances stocked the place with just about anything you need to get your vacation started. conveniently close to stores. the cottage is not remote at all. I’m 55 and walked to town twice a day!! my friend and I could have happily stayed there for a permanent holiday!!

The only thing I didn't like was getting rid of your own rubbish. First House I stayed in with that rule. But the recycling facility is close and inexpensive so its no big deal.

The house is in a fabulous location.Just open the front door to a breathtaking view. It is spotlessly clean and has everything you could possibly need. Plus the host has thought of everything that you could possibly need. I couldn't recommend it anymore. Ideal location for a quiet break. You can visit beaches woods shops whatever you like .

We had a fantastic week in a beautiful Tilly's Cottage. The house was perfect for us: warm, homely, comfortable and peaceful. Very well organised and had everything we needed. It made our holiday in West Cork all the more enjoyable. We loved the fabulous scenery and view of Dunmanus Bay. We would definitely recommend it for a quiet rural stay. We hope to back in the future.

This property is really lovely, It has everything you need for a nice break away. There is lots of space and it is very comfortable. The house was spotless. The WiFi was really good so a rainy day you could chill and watch netflix. It is a 15 minute drive away from Bantry where there are lots of good restaurants. Frances our host left us a lovely hamper upon arrival and provided a really good guide book for the area. We had a lovely week away. This property is ideal for families and couples.

The house is extremely well maintained everything was fresh and spotless The kitchen/dinning area was spacious including space for a comfortable couch..For those cooking enthusiastics ,the crockery is beautiful ,the cooking utensils were fab great for exchanging cooking tips The bedrooms were also spacious.very comfortable beds ,the master bedroom had a king sized bed and cot. All 3 bedrooms were beautifully decorated.The front sitting room was very comfortable with good view of the bay a bit of a distance away. A separate building at the side of house provided good laundry facilities each bedroom had hair dryers .I would highly recommend this property. Our host Frances was very friendly and helpful and provided an amazing welcome pack of local produce to set you up without going near a shop for your arrival.

There was nothing about the house that we did not like.The location was suitable for our needs in every way It is however a bit of a drive away from Durrus village 5 mins not for those whom like to walk to a pub or restaurant 😀
