Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

UkraineNothing to complain about.
Everything was nice and clean. The interior is perfect. Especially we liked the bed that turns into a sofa. Not mentioning the game/arcade room and the cinema you can use for free! And a beautiful terrace on the roof with the stunning view on the city and the ocean.

NetherlandsWasn’t aware that the bed was a pullout Murphy bed. Bed was comfortable enough for the weekend but that did catch us off guard.

CanadaSmall but comfortable studio with lots of closet space and fully functional kitchenette. I didn't use the social kitchen or fitness room but it was great to have those options. Conveniently close to DART, so easy to get to the central areas of Dublin. The location is quiet and with lots of cute shops in the neighbourhood.

Czech RepublicI would expect 2 chairs in room for 2 people and a bit bigger pot for cooking, but these are just minor things.
Might be better as expected. Location is very good as well as room.

IrelandToilet door was somewhat see-through and could be made more private. View of run down and boarded up building across the road.
The staff were really friendly and helpful. The room had everything we needed, and the design of the studio was impressive. We felt safe as to access areas you needed your key card and there was always someone at reception.

CanadaI didn’t like the couch. It was fine since we were there mostly to sleep but if staying any longer to relax it was uncomfortable.
Location was good. I didn’t realize when I booked that it was long term residence also.

The location was excellent, there was always something on in Dun Laoghaire. It was lovely walking along the pier watching the ships coming and going. It was great to be able to do my own cooking.

United KingdomThe toilet has a glass door and is not private. Really?! The gym requires you to pass a test - what a joke! I realise you have to cover yourselves but i would be happy to sign a waiver and be done and get access.
I’ve given good marks for all of the above.

UkraineMy room didn't have a view, windows facing other windows, so little privacy. No room cleaning in five days that I stayed
The location is outside of Dublin, but in a nice seaside suburb, good value for money compared to other hotels in Dublin, sea views from the rooftop terrace. Helpful staff

BelgiumMy biggest remark would be the lack of airconditioning, I was always hot. Trying to sleep with the window open is not easy as the blinds prevent you from opening the window. By morning you felt there was a lack of oxygen. The toilet door is open at the top, so if you are there with a partner it's mostly sharing is caring ;) The murphy bed makes it a bit cramp to get around and I got a nasty cut/bruise from a nightly toilet visit. All the light switches for the entire studio are located at the door. USB charger is USB-A only (nitpicking here)
24/7 presence at the reception, always friendly. Could ask for wall outlet adapters, hairdryer, fresh towel, ... There's a well equiped gym present for which you need to take a survey. Building is very new, clean, silent. Instant hot water in the shower. Free wifi, although sometimes a bit slow. Equipped private kitchenette but there are also big social kitchens. You can book the cinema room in the basement. The location is super close to the Dart station around the corner, very pleasant area. Looks like there is proper heating for winter.
