Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaIt would be great to leave instructions on how to use all the appliances. Also the bedroom on the immediate left upon entering had a foul odor.
The location was perfect. Close to restaurants and shopping.

Beautiful House with a great vibe! We loved the simple, but modern & stylish design, it was well equipped with everything you could need, the communication with the owners was super nice - definitely would book it again! Great place also to explore Galway and Connemara! And the kids loved the lawn in the back to play and how close it was to walk to a beach!

United States of AmericaThere continues to be a bad smell in one of the bedrooms. Could it be a sewer issue? We did use the air purifier, which helped. Also, there was no soap in the bathrooms, and no soap for the dishwasher. Also no dishtowels in the kitchen.
The location, views, and style and decor of the home are all beautiful, and we thoroughly enjoyed having such a lovely home to relax in. It was easy to get into the house, and everything was in working order.

IrelandOne of the bedroom smells bad as other reviwers pointed out. There were air purifier and difusor, so I think the owner know about it and try their best to remove the smell, however it was not really worked out. There were some small stuffs to be fixed out, but Sean was willing to solve the problems immediately.
The house is near from Furbo and Spiddal beach. A small village, Barna is nearby and there is a supermarket and restaurants. Galway is just 20 minutes away, so it is really a great location. The house is pretty new and equipped everything you need, even a baby chair and plastic bowls for baby. I would recommend this house for the people who has children. From the living room, you can see a beautiful scenery with ocean. The owner, Sean is extremely helpful and easy to communicate. Overall, I enjoyed my holidays in this house.

United KingdomWifi signal was poor but I put this down to its location and this wasn't a major issue for us.
Highly recommend this excellent house in a lovely location with fantastic views, close to Furbo and Spidal. Very well equipped and spotlessly clean. We had a minor issue which the owner dealt with very quickly and efficiently.

IrelandThe beds were a little uncomfortable. We could not find how to open the velux window in the living area, this would have cooled the room down a lot had we of been able to open it.
The location of the house was ideal for us having young children. We had beaches within walking and driving distance either side of us in Furbo and Spiddal. We were also only a drive away from Salthill, where the children enjoyed a trip to the funfair. Pádricin’s restaurant located in Furbo was an ideal place to enjoy lunch or dinner overlooking the sea, after a day at the beach. I would highly recommend a trip to this property, even if it is a base for touring what other beautiful sights Galway has to offer. Having the comfort of a house to go to each evening was like a home away from home. My children did not want to leave after our 5 days, they would easily have stayed as long as they could 😃

IrelandSpiddal village is a half-hour walk away. We had a small child with us so that was a little bit far for us. Overall, we felt that the cost of the house was too expensive.
It's a beautiful house, fully equipped with everything you need for your stay. The decor is very modern and the garden is nicely kept.

IrelandOn the downside, had trouble finding the house due to no cell signal while driving through rural Ireland and then no response on the number provided by the property. Traffic noise, inferior quality and quantity bedlinen and small beds, let the property down , otherwise a super place.
The house was spotless with excellent kitchen facilities and is close to Galway Town.

United Arab EmiratesWe found the beds too small and the pillows too flat, which did not make us feel well-rested on our road trip. There could be some room for improvement with the beds. The clothesline inside the house was broken, so we also struggled to hang our washing.
The house had all the charm as we expected and was also very well-equipped.

United States of Americahoy water did not work in one of the bathrooms for most of the day. it suddenly started working on the last day but we were already leaving. There were no clear instructions on how to use the washer, get the shower to work. There was a mildewed smell downstairs. an air filter helped that but then there were no enough electrical outlets in the room where it was. Beds were not particularly comfortable. there were not enough pillows or towels. heater in one of the bedrooms did not work.
the house was spacious with a sea view

AustriaThe house is on a very busy road with a speed limit of 70kph. I guess that when the windows are open, one hears a lot of traffic noise. Looking through the window on the second floor, one could see the sea. However, access to the sea was limited. There was apparently a public area to get to the beach that was within walking distance, but it was closed, and it meant having to drive somewhere to access the sea. So while there was a small window of 'sea view', there was no sea access. I must say that the beds were less than desired- too soft, too small and sagging in the middle. It's not too close to Galway- it takes a bit of time to get to the city. There were buses but not close by. We had a lot of trouble finding an ATM in the vicinity. I found it rather expensive.
It is a spacious place with three bedrooms. There was plenty of room in the bedrooms for luggage, and outside of the bedrooms, there was also room for stuff. There were two bathrooms, which makes a difference when traveling with friends. But the bathroom we had was really tiny. The combined kitchen and dining area were upstairs and were spacious with a fully equipped kitchen with an induction stove, microwave, and tools for cooking. There is a Nespresso coffee maker, so bring capsules with you-I am not sure why people don't advertise this in the description of the property, so one doesn't show up without morning coffee. The dining room table was large, and there was ample living room furniture. There was a large flat screen tv that worked well. There were a washer and dryer in the living room area with soap, which made washing clothes nice. There was ample parking on the property.

United KingdomDownstairs the bedrooms with ensuite were too cramped, I feel one large bathroom may have suited better. Also there was an issue with the plumbing as a faint sewage smell in one room and the shower didn't drain very well in another. More than one pillow on the beds would have been great too.
Upstairs was excellent, great views out to the sea and the kitchen/living/dining area was spotless with lots of facilities
