One of the best B&Bs we've ever stayed at.

    Nothing.

An excellent B&B in a stunning location run by the exceptionally helpful and friendly Róisín, Samantha and young helpers. We had the most relaxed and comfortable night of our two week road trip here. The lack of decent WiFi and a TV in the bedroom were not important to us as we enjoyed the sounds of the night through our open window. Watching the sunrise over the islands and mountains was a delight. Breakfast was freshly cooked and more than sufficient to fuel us for the day ahead. We would love to return for a longer stay sometime.

The room was a little musty and damp but the in-room heater took care of that quickly.

Right at the seashore. Amazing sunrise and small ruin right next door.

WiFi doesn't stretch as far as the rooms but it was no bother to sit in the lounge for a while.

Beautiful location. Literally a stones throw from the beach. We could hear the waves from our bedroom. Cosy and comfortable rooms. Plentiful and tasty breakfast.

Shower pressure but that's just how it is in the country so acceptance is bliss.

Beautiful location in a rainy day, spectacular in a sunny day. The family run B&B is cosy, comfortable, welcoming and well run. It sits right on the Atlantic ocean and when the tide is in you can swim. Very peaceful, nice to unwind and disconnect from a busy life. Highly recommend this place. Breakfast caters for all all needs.

Can’t say much in this section, ngl. Suppose just the tap issue there, mountains and all. Oh and maybe if you’re a taller person while booking mention it, we stayed in the attic room which was lovely but I’d say taller person would constantly hit the ceiling with their heads

The B&B was delightful. Place was great, a little isolated but for me that’s the better part. Staff were very lovely and friendly, made us feel right at home. The room was cosy and comfy, slight issue with the taps but didn’t take away from it, kinda to be expected in a more remote location! Overall delightful, would love to return again to enjoy the ocean breeze, the amazing sights, the lovely breakfast, and the very friendly people keeping this place afloat.

I would prefer to pay by card. We heard noise from other rooms.

I chose this place as the last destination of our road trip because it was so remote, wild and Irish, like the whole Wild Atlantic Way :-) The dining room is really beautiful and has views of the castle and sea. It is close to Connemara NP, so we enjoyed hiking in the afternoon. The place really has its special atmosphere.

It's a quiet, friendly B&B worth the scenic drive to get there,

Understandably in an old building, the ensuite bathroom was very small with a tiny sink. It worked fine though. Being isolated out at the end of the road, you need to drive a ways to get to a pub or restaurant for dinner. We asked for suggestions and had a good dinner at Paddy Coyne's - the pub owner came over to see how we were doing and we had an interesting chat about the local history, etc. Be prepared - the Olde Castle only accepts cash, so stop at an ATM in a town before you drive out the narrow, country road. It's not a bad thing, just unusual these days, so plan ahead.

Róisín and all the staff were very welcoming. We had two rooms right next to each other as we'd asked. Breakfast was delicious (with the best tea of the trip) and served in a wonderful sun room with great views of the water and rows of mountains going off into the distance. We were lucky to have sunny weather and good visibility. There was a gorgeous sunset over the water, and a nearby small beach with shells. It's very quiet out at the end of that peninsula. There's a cozy, communal living room with comfortable sofa and chairs and books about local legends. The "Olde Castle" refers to the ruins of a tall castle that stands right next to the B&B. We are glad we drove out there.
