Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

New ZealandParking.
Lovely building and entrance. Parking was a bit of an issue when we arrived but managed to eventually find a park. This is due to the fact that the hotel is part of a complex including a restaurant, cafe and the huge Irish shop. Excellent location with only a 400m walk to the castle entrance. The room was on the second floor overlooking the workshops at the rear of the hotel and was the smallest to date. It was nicely furnished and well appointed though. No aircon but we were able to open a window. Minimal noise from the workshops. Good dinner meal at Christies restaurant. Breakfast was in the Cafe adjoining the hotel. There was a section at the rear for hotel guests, although the cafe wasn't open to the public during the hour we were there from 8am. Excellent breakfast, continental and a la carte cooked menu.

IrelandSignage for the actual hotel wasn't very clear and I ended up driving around the village before finding the front entrance. No issue with parking but being the shop, the bar, and hotel meant there was a lot of traffic in vicinity of the hotel. The signage indicated that there was a one way system in place, which I followed. Unfortunately I met a few cars & a bus coming against me. I also had a large group of Americans tourists who indicated that I was being rude to expect them to move from standing in the middle of the road. The breakfast was excellent but the location was confusing as it was to the back of a large food hall. There was also several steps up - not ideal for wheelchair users or those with mobility issues. The bathrooms badly need to be modernised - they appear to be from the 1990's. Pillows in the room were ridiculously soft - I'm more a firm pillow user. Price was a little step - for the hotel, the food, the shop. Everything was expensive, but it's no wonder tourists complain about Rip-off Ireland.
The hotel is a beautiful mix of traditional and modern. The bedrooms are beautifully decorated with wool throws, tweeds, beautiful image of the old mill, with great selection of lights - beside bed, overhead & led over headboard. The staff are friendly and warm. The food served at breakfast was cooked fresh to order. Despite it being an older window, with single glaze windows, the rooms were warm and quiet.

AustraliaAllocation of room next to very noisy large family spread over 2 rooms. Doors banging late then early. Better to put us on another floor or the end of the corridor.

IrelandThe breakfast was pretty poor, the ingredients weren't of high standard, the sourdough being the most disappointing.

United States of AmericaDon't pay attention to any bad reviews about Blarney. We had read that Blarney was a tourist trap by a well known travel author. BLARNEY! Definitely worth the Trip!
We ADORED IT. We LOVED EVERYTHING about Blarney Mills Hotel and the town of Blarney. Te beds were comfortable, the food was delicious, the people were so friendly. For two retired American Tourists the town of Blarney, the castle, Blarney Mills Hotel and Restaurant were more than we hoped for. So much history, beautiful scenery and the gardens of Blarney Castle are acres and acres of beautiful gardens. You can walk for hours.

Liked the whole complex. Thought the building was excellent architecturally. Excellent dinner and breakfast. Couldn't resist the 'Irish' shopping experience. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The bonus for us was the adequate parking.

NetherlandsThe winter duvet was far to warm and uncomfortable for this time of the year.
Being an old woollen mill the hotel has a lot of character. Blarney is an ideal location if one wants avoid the bustle of Cork. Staff were most helpful and the breakfast was excellent. The salmon dinner in the restaurant was excellent but the fish and chips suffered because of the poor presentation ( the cod dumped on a mound of chips, which should have been served separately ).
