Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

My second stay, still as lovely as it is. I think this is the best hotel in Kintamani if you like nature feels such as jungle view. Love the yoga area, beside it is cozy and so refreshing, they also provide yoga mat. Surely will stay here again. The staffs are also very friendly. Just perfect!!!

MaltaThe room was cold and could use some kind of heating, although the staff did offer hot water bottles. Could be challenging for people with mobility difficulties and there are many stairs to reach the rooms.
Amazing views of the surroundings. The rooms are designed beautifully and blend well with nature. Aesthetically, the hotel looks and feels great.

New ZealandA little musty, but I do think it's cause we had the bottom room so it didn't get as much sun as protected by the trees.
Amazing location and very private. Away from the busy roads and tranquil. Very friendly and lovely staff. Clean and tidy room.

United StatesThe room itself was a little bit dark, with low ceilings. But there are enough outdoor spaces to explore, including a nice private patio, that we didn't spend much time inside anyway.
Beautiful wood architecture set in a peaceful hillside forest. Just relaxing at this hotel's terrace, looking out over the treetops and the valley beyond ended up being one the highlights of our entire trip. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. Parts of the hotel have been built from a historic temple, which adds even more richness to the atmosphere. Located a very short drive (or even a walk) from spectacular views of Batur. If you're planning the sunrise trek of Batur, it's a good spot to stay- we left the hotel at 3am and made the sunrise at a comfortable hiking pace.

United StatesComfortable cottage rooms with an interesting history. Staff willing to go above and beyond. Setting a bit isolated from town, but this isn't necessarily a negative. There are a number of stairs to navigate, depending on room location. The restaurant was fair, but nothing special

AustraliaNo heater in the room and it can get really cold at night, although they do put hot water bottles in the bedroom. Room was quite dark and dinner service closes at 8pm with last order being at 7:30pm
Beautiful views from the restaurant. Staff was lovely. Very quiet place due to being away from the main area.

United Arab EmiratesIf you stay is including breakfast, They won’t give you more than a cup of coffee for your breakfast :(( which was really weird. My friend then asked for the ginger tea, which is a complimentary in every room. But they said we have to pay if having with breakfast. It made no sense because my friend then went to her room, got the tea bag, asked for hot water and made the tea right in front of them and they said nothing.
Everything was exceptional ❤️

AustraliaYour credit card might get declined by their machines if you use international credit card (although you can use it on different parts of Bali). It's quiet daunting if you need to pay when you check in or pay the drinks from the bar. You may need to bring cash. If you travel with seniors who are a bit hard to walk or who struggle with stairs, this place might be a nightmare for them and for you. There is no Grab car or Taxi surround it and also they don't have armada if you want to explore the surrounding. They should upgrade their services so people can explore Kintamani more.
It's quiet and peaceful place. It's in the middle of the jungle. In the morning, you can listen to the birds singing (yes they are litterally singing) and roosters crowing. There is no TV so it forces us to move away from it. It's built on the hill so lots and lots of steps where it forces you to exercise everyday. There is no wild parties and drunk people like on some beaches in Bali. Overall, it's a peaceful and quiet place if you are looking for peaceful and quiet life.

United StatesIt takes many stair steps to reach the restaurant ( in our case over 100 ). This might make a stay here a challenge for some people.
The overall design is stunning and the rooms which are antique Javanese Jogolos are both beautiful and comfortable.

IndonesiaWhile Tira Vilagna Suites & Spa offers a commendable hospitality experience, the placement of the smoking area could be reconsidered to cater better to guests who smoke, as it is currently situated quite far from some rooms. Additionally, the inclusion of amenities like a TV and a bathtub in the rooms would greatly enhance the comfort and convenience of the stay, providing a more immersive leisure experience for the guests.
Tira Vilagna Suites & Spa provided an exceptional stay experience, made even more memorable by their attentive and courteous staff. The hotel is nestled amidst breathtaking natural beauty, further enhancing the tranquility and comfort of the stay. The room provided was not only clean and spacious but also exuded a warm, welcoming ambiance. A unique feature was the provision of a Yoga space, contributing to a more holistic wellness experience. A pleasant surprise was the room upgrade, an indication of the hotel's high customer service standards. Interestingly, the layout of the property with its extensive walkways and flights of stairs between the lobby and the rooms serves a dual purpose: not only is it aesthetically pleasing but it also provides an unintentional cardio workout. So, if you value exceptional service, beautiful surroundings, and a little bit of daily exercise, Tira Vilagna Suites & Spa might be the perfect choice for your next getaway.

MauritiusThere might be some stairs but on the bright side - it's good exercise as well 😉 The cupboard might be a little too small for 2 people.
We loved our stay at Tira Vilagna. We don't remember all the names but the receptionist Ani, Devi in the restaurant and everyone else - you are all very nice. The room was very cosy and warm (there is no AC because it's cold, but the beautiful wooden infrastructure keeps it warm inside). We requested an extra blanket, and the staff provides for warm boilers every night. The hospitality was very nice - all the staff were courteous, responded swiftly to whatsapp requests, and laundry, which was done nice and neatly upon requests. Blankets are also provided in the restaurant since it can get a bit cold, which we actually enjoyed. It's a very quiet atmosphere to relax - the food at the restaurant is delicious, we enjoyed both breakfast and dinner (although dinner ends at 8pm, it was not an issue for us). Tea time was nice as well - we got to taste some local pastries. The location can be a bit far from Ubud but we walked around a bit - there are some very nice cafés and restaurants, coffee shops etc, like 15-20 min walk. The hotel also got us in touch with a wonderful driver, Mr. Ngurah, who drove us around on many days - he was very professional. Thank you once again 🙂

MalaysiaA lot of stairs to climb. Not suitable for old folks who have trouble with stairs. It can get pretty chilly at night, there is no heating, fan of tv. Some heating in the rooms would be good for the really chilly nights.
We had a lovely stay here. The cool weather was a nice welcome. At night temperatures dropped to as low as 13/14C. The architecture was unique and awe inspiring. Almost entirely crafted in wood. The landscaping was classic Bali. Ambience of the hotel was relaxing, calm and soothing. It would have been perfect if meditative music was piped through the resort, in the lobby, tea room and bar area. I would definitely return.

PolandIt is hard to commute in the area, without your own transportation, we made a mistake of relying on the taxi services, and did not see some places we wanted to visit. Also, streets of Kintamani were very crowded during our stay, traffic jams everywhere, so it felt pretty dangerous to walk local streets, as most of them do not have sidewalks.
Very intimate atmosphere, beautifully located in the forest. We enjoyed natural design (stone/wood finish) of the hotel. Staff was extremely polite. View from the hotel restaurant was amazing, especially at night time.
