Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

New ZealandNothing.
Being in the bush amongst nature was the highlight of my stay here. It was foggy and rainy but amazing being in the midst of it. The staff are all lovely and brought my bags to my room. Yes, there are steps, but at a small height, so they’re not so bad - in fact very doable for most people. The food in the restaurant was excellent with generous portions and the waiters/waitresses are very accommodating. If you stay 2 nights or more, you’re welcome to an afternoon tea in the tea room. This was lovely and delicious treats. I had a facial at the spa and a hot soak afterwards - it was divine!

LOVED my stay here! Firstly, what a beautiful property. I think people should stay here for a day to admire the property alone. It is so beautiful and well maintained. Lots of stairs (not steep ones) but really cute nooks and corners with picnic areas, gazebo lookouts and a bonfire place. The staff too are incredibly helpful and caring. I had a knee injury so they gave me a free upgrade avoiding a lot of stairs and making sure I could have my afternoon tea at the restaurant rather than having to go all the way down to the tea room. The restaurant was also pretty good - big portions and good food. It does close at 8pm though. I also booked the mount batur jeep trek with the hotel which was an incredible experience. Highly recommended staying here!

The property is gorgeous and every inch of it has been creatively designed in an eco friendly way. Staying at the property is in itself an experience that you should not miss. The staff is exceptionally friendly and supportive. The property is constructed right in the mountains with amazing views. The food ( be it breakfast, lunch or dinner) at their restaurant is delicious and fresh.

AustraliaWasn’t aware that there was so many steps to get to and from our room. Not a big issue but would probably suggest booking a room closer to the top of the property if you have an issue with stairs.
Location was great. Staff were very helpful. Super clean. Restaurant food was amazing. Breakfast very generous.

IrelandNothing at all. Bar & restaurant finish around 8pm as it is a quiet place unlike the rest of Bali so just keep this in mind.
We had the most beautiful stay here! We stayed for 3 nights & most importantly before we did the Mt Batur hike. 30mins away from trail start. Hotel staff greeted us with a welcome drink which was so beautiful. We were so well looked after. They also helped us arrange transport for our day trips to Ubud (1 hour away), Mt Batur & helped arrange local laundry. We availed of the spa & had a couple massage which was beautiful. We got afternoon coffee and a snack which was a complimentary service. The room and views are breathtaking. We woke for the Dawn chorus at 5:30am.. the sounds are blissful. We ate here each night - food and drink were delicious. A perfect place to stay in the very quiet part of Bali - a perfect place if that’s what you need in between a busy travel time.

This place is a piece of heaven !! i like being surrounded by the forest. I recommend this hotel If you would like to have the experience of being in the nature with the ambient sound of the creatures and the rain in a tree house -like room , especially at night !! very peaceful and quite if you want to be away for awhile from the busy life. I had 3 silence days phase at the hotel and I was taken very good care of by the staff , all are friendly and helpful with smile on their faces all the time. The breakfast has menu of different varieties, i enjoyed the kintamani's breakfast. Would love to come again whenever I am in Kintamani,

United Arab EmiratesIt’d be great to have a wardrobe / cupboard or more shelves for longer stays + longer open restaurant (though the staff always made sure to ask if we wanted to order before last order when we were on our way back from trips)
Great location in a beautiful misty pine forrest + beautiful traditional joglo houses that were brought from Java create a magical vibe. Very nice food. Kind and attentive personnel. Nice areas for families with games. Hot pool. Great view from the balcony with gamelan music coming from the village in the distance in the evenings.
