You need to understand you are in a natural ecosystem surrounded by animals who cohabit with you, we encountered few of them, the staff was very helpful every time we needed, however we suggest that by simply closing up the corners inside the bedroom it will avoid animals to come visit at night. We had to close them ourselves with some towels and sleep with one light on to avoid animals to come in (first night we got a mouse…completely harmless but scary to find it during the midnight. Staff provided some tramps and we ensure to leave every food we had in the fridge)

Staff is incredibly welcoming, helpful and attentive. The villas are beautiful, private and as the name of the hotel in portuguese “suenyo” they are like a dream. The Bamboo massage was THE BEST we had in Bali, great food and communication on point with the staff. Thanks to Mila, Hendra and Rio jn particular.

The only thing i can say is that the hot water at the bath is limited, but also that's not a problem as the weather is hot!

Having travelled to Bali a couples of times in the past 18 months, staying nearly two months, my wife and I felt we had taken in most of the amazing experiences; then we stayed at Suenyo! We understood what to expect in the pavilions, checked the photos, studied the reviews, but we were still absolutely astounded from checkin to checkout. Prepare to be amazed with everything, including the services, we tried a few; they are all incredible, but if you only choose one, we recommend the romantic dinner. I don’t have enough words to describe how heavenly this place is. It is a piece of paradise designed to make your stay in Bali unforgettable. The design and construction of the villas felt like we were living in a treehouse, the view of the jungle was breathtaking and the attention to detail was overall immaculate. The staff stole our hearts with their kindness, smiles and hospitality. The food was very high quality and the spa treatments are definitely a must-try.

If you want to walk around the area there is not much to do or anywhere to eat or have a coffee, but still we barely wanted to get out of this amazing villa.

Our stay here was something very unique and different. Amazing place, excellent service, there was nothing missing for our perfect gateway from everything.

Steps! Fortunately we're all very fit, but there were 100+ steep steps down to the villa. The staff carried all the bags and we were never expected to struggle.

Stunning place located next to a river in the natural Balinese jungle. Amazing service from the staff and a big thank you to Milla for the great communication in the weeks prior to arriving. There can't be many hotels where you are greeted with a personal blessing from the in-house priest. All meals are served in your room dining area. Communication to order anything is via WhatsApp and very efficiently the food/drinks arrive. Staff are amazing and do everything to make your stay and experience you won't forget. We had a memorable family dinner where the dining room was decorated with thousands of flower petals and Wira the chef personally came to describe the food he had prepared. Also took part in the Melukat ceremony performed by the priest. staff dressed us in traditional Balinese clothing and we're amazing describing all aspects of the ceremony. Milla gets another mention for her photography skills....(your studies were not wasted), excellent photos!

Lounge chairs by the window would be nice, to chill inside the room when you don't feel like hanging out at the hammock or the pool. Some noise from the neighboring construction. The air conditioning was not strong enough when the sun rises but you can always ask for an extra fan in the room. Pool was not very well maintained.

A beautifully well design bamboo house located next to the river with lots of greenery. Staff was very professional and helpful, service was awesome. The meals were very tasty and beautifully presented. Massage and yoga were good. Great place to escape for a few days to chill and enjoy nature. Love waking up to the sound of nature in the morning.

It was a very beautiful escape into the forest to enjoy nature in a comfortable atmosphere. You must try their massage. It was wonderful. The staff were friendly and provided the best service. The breakfast options are substantial with plenty on offer. My wife and I changed options every morning and thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast down by the river. The seclusion is amazing and listening to the local birds of a night was a great way to end the day.

Our favorite resort we stayed in during our time in Bali. We received a complimentary breakfast and the food was so delicious we ordered dinner to the room as well. The suite we stayed at was set right on the river and was isolated and beautiful. Mila was an excellent host that exceeded expectations and made sure every need was met. You must give this place a try!

Honestly the only two things they could improve there at the resort would be to have a plat warmer for their cutlery and plates. Sometimes the food can arrive a bit lukewarm and you’d like it to be hotter for longer. Additionally just improve the connection of the Wi-Fi as it cuts out quite frequently. But these are more so suggestions rather than dislikes.

Rooms were exceptional I really did not want to leave them. You felt transported to the middle of the jungle. I won’t ruin it for anyone coming here but I would highly recommend the rooms by the River as when it rains and the river fills up it’s something to admire! The breakfasts were presented beautifully and tasted great as well. The retreat is located really close to Canggu so just catch a Grab taxi and hop over there and explore all the boutique stores and restaurants they have to offer.

The bamboo house is incredibly beautiful and well designed. The best thing about the stay was waking up to the sound of nature in the morning. The staff makes every effort to guarantee us an unforgettable experience.
