Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SerbiaBathroom is outdated. Walls should be repainted. Breakfast could be little bit more imaginative. Too dull menu.
I like the most location and nice garden. Hotel is located in small quiet street very close to beach. Very safe , cozy and romantic surroundings with lot of greenery and flowers. Property itself is romantic , beautifull garden, well maintained, with swiming pool in the center of the court , sculptures and craftwork and artwork gives clear reminder that you are on the Bali.

GermanyThe bathroom was old and in need of a major overhaul. The towels and bedsheets were quite old and no longer crispy white. Some of the rooms had very little light due to small windows. They were kind enough to change our room, upon request, to one with larger windows.
The location was close to the beach. The hotel property and surroundings, including swimming pool were very good. The staff were always helpful and friendly. Good breakfast!

United KingdomThe wifi really needs attention here, it was constantly losing signal which may sound nit picky but we struggled to book grab taxis to get us around due to the poor connection.
The staff were very warm and welcoming. The pool area was lovely. It is in a very calm and quiet location but just a few minutes from the beach and bars. The room was basic but comfortable.

AustraliaThere are issues with the Wifi, like serious issues if you are in the wrong room. I was in a junior suite(?) for the first night and the wifi was non existent . It was only by a chance conversation with another guest that I was able to move rooms, closer to reception where the wifi was much better
The location was good for me. easy walk to the beach and restaurants. It's a fair walk into the main shopping area. but easy enough to do.

United StatesUnfortunately, my recent stay at Segara Agung Boutique Hotel fell short of expectations. While the property's pool and garden area were aesthetically pleasing, the condition of my "Superior" room was disappointing. The room exhibited signs of wear and tear, including dirty walls, curtains, and bed linens. The bathroom was particularly concerning, with a musty odor, dirty tiles, and broken fixtures. Despite the basic breakfast provided, the overall state of the room significantly impacted my stay. I would recommend that the hotel invest in maintenance and renovations to improve the quality of its accommodations. Also, at check they made me sign a non-refund policy. I wonder if that was about to cover their backs because of the room's conditions :)
The location is great and the garden was nice.

New ZealandRooms and bathrooms need a MAJOR upgrade. Bathrooms were covered in black mould. The drains didn’t drain properly so every time you run water it blocks. We had to change room twice, once due to black mould and secondly due to bed bugs. The dirtiness of the hotel is truely unacceptable. If it were a bit dated but clean then that’s fine, but even when looking under the bed after the bedbug incident there was an actual pile of dirt swept under it. The sheets were washed but covered in stains including blood, and smelt as such. It’s a shame because this place could be amazing, but it needs an overhaul. You get what you pay for but there are better, cleaner places around for the same price.
Location is amazing, right in the middle of Sanur, close to both the shops and beach. The outdoor garden and pool area is lovely and well maintained.

AustraliaWe love Segara Agung. We stayed previously in Jan 2020 and they have done some great renovations since then including a new, larger swimming pool. The family room was excellent and plenty of space for 2A2C. Great breakfast with several choices form menu. Very quiet hotel in a great location. Easy walk to Sanur Beach with lots of bars/restaurants, massage etc. We would definitely stay again.

New ZealandEverything! We had a family suite and comfortably slept 2 adults and 3 children. There was a living area where we could relax in front of the aircon and watch some TV. Conveniently located beside reception, the restaurant, and the pool. Walking distance from the beach and the main road of Sanur. Plenty of massage places in walking distance and delicious restaurants as well. We rented bikes from around the corner for 40000IDR each. The staff were lovely and welcoming from the get go with welcome drinks upon arrival.
