Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaA water dispenser could be good and limit plastic bottles.
Gorgeous back alleys of Penestanan in the rice fields, this villa was a private and peaceful oasis. Very charming, cultured rooms and decor and comfy living space.

United StatesNo complaints. I’d come back. I even extended my stay
This review is for the one bedroom villa. I loved it; a nice quiet location adjacent to the quickly vanishing rice fields. Pool, gardens, privacy all a plus. Bed is comfy and breakfast (which is not typically included unless you pay) is great though you must specify a time for it so it might not work if you want to sleep in. I see what people say about the alleyway being far from the street but I had a scooter which obviated that. There are plenty of affordable restaurants on the alleyway/road so you do not need to go into ubud center.

AustraliaThe location is about 600 mtrs from the main road and not accessible by car. Only bikes can go through and obviously, walking.
The property is beautiful and was perfect for our group of 4 and a kid. The rooms are pretty with the high ceilings and the net over the bed, making it look pretty cosy and welcoming. The bathrooms are huge and very clean. Koma was very helpful everytime. Even late night emergencies were sorted out, all thanks to him.

PolandNothing!
Everything was perfect! Even the fact that we arrived in Bali at 2 a.m. - the host was waiting for us, then picked us up from a taxi (it has to park on main road) and took us to the villa on scooters. Then a wide range of additional services (breakfasts, taxis, trips). We recommend it wholeheartedly and we will definitely return to this place in the future!

LithuaniaOnly con that I can see shower area needs a little refreshment for the walls. In my opinion cleaning with brush would definetely help. Other than that we enjoyed our stay.
We stayed there for 3 nights. Excellent room with private pool, kitchen, bath and shower. There is AC and TV in the sleeping room. Mini bar prices are cheap. Local restaurants and services are close to the place and there is lots to choose from. Place itself is remote. You only can reach it on foot or by scooter. Pros that it’s very calm place - no traffic sound at all.

IrelandNothing as such, you are close to certain amenities however to get to the main street of Ubud you would need a scooter or get a taxi. This is very easy to do just something to be aware of when booking here.
Gorgeous facilities and comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic and the staff were so kind. Close to laundry, a small shop and coffee places.

CanadaWe loved everything. There is a short walk to the property and recommend to inform the host of your arrival so they can assist with your bags to the property.
We love that the Villa location was close enough to Central Ubud but far enough that we were away from the busy streets. there are close by restaurants and cafes to enjoy and the staff was so friendly.

RomaniaIt is not close to the road and even if the owner insists that it is only 350m, that is not true. You will walk for almost 10 minutes to the main road. But this could be also nice if you just want to enjoy every minute :) PS: you only have a closet with key if you want to keep your stuff safe (no safe box) but we did not have problems and the water in the shower is not warm all the time.
The villas are big enough and nice, the pool is awesome and the open kitchen outside is really nice. The AC works fine and the helper came to clean and change towels every day. You also have small restaurants really, really close and they deliver to the villa fast.

SingaporeCar can drop you about 500m away. After that one can walk or the employee can ferry one person at a time on his scooter. If you rent a scooter yourself, then should be no problem. Keep in mind for elderly or persons with difficulty walking. Nearby villas have buggies available, maybe they can be arranged at some reasonable extra charge for those who need it. Drinking water bottles were chargeable from the start. I would suggest to at least provide few bottles complimentary. No dip tea provided and the tea that came with breakfast was quite bad. Coffee was better. No butter available for toast, only jam. There could be one large mirror in the rooms.
Very clean and well maintained villa. We booked the one with 2 bedrooms, as travelling with parents. Open kitchen with small pool was good. Staff was available to give a ride from the carpark to the villa - one at a time, on a scooter. Mr Buda was always a message away for questions. Adequate toiletries were provided and mosquito net was available as well. Basic breakfast was presented beautifully and on time. Fresh fruits and juice were awesome! Floating breakfast option available at slight extra charge. Coffee and sugar pouches provided (no dip tea or creamer)
