We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United StatesAs previously mentioned, the bathroom was disgusting. I am hoping I can attach pictures to this review as words do not accurately describe how nasty it was. The sink was covered in dirt and the mirror was unusable because it was so dirty. The pool was neon green and this unusable. We had multiple blood stains on our sheets which tells me they had not been changed in some time either. The fridge was covered in rust and if you opened the door for even a second it emitted an odor that made the entire room smell horrid. The bathtub was covered in dirt so we had to wear shoes to shower. We checked out on Dec 25 and booked a stay in a hostel because of how nasty our room was. We spoke with the manager before we checked out and he assured us that we would be refunded for the remainder of our stay, but refused to process any refund on site and said we had to do it through booking.com. I submitted multiple requests to change the date which were all denied and the number listed for customer service is not in service. I tried using their online chat to express my concerns and they let me know I needed to call them in order to get any sort of refund. Only problem once again is that the number is no longer in service. This stay made me lose faith in booking.com entirely and I really hope this situation is rectified or I will probably stop using booking all together and switch to a site with better customer support.
Nothing. It was absolutely disgusting, the bathroom looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months. The pool was completely green and the Wi-Fi didn’t work at all.

AustraliaThe bath was filthy with pubs in it. We didn't dare have a shower as you can see the sink was filthy and mirror covered in toothpaste!! Yuk!! Light falling out of roof. Cobweb full of spiders on back of bed! Rooms that they used for storage full of boxes ! Managed to get some students who did have WiFi to help us. HELL!!!!
This place is a disgrace ! Why is it even on this website? No toilet paper , towels , no breakfast let alone a restaurant! The TV was a vintage box that didn't work! The pool was green filthy we got attacked by mozzies ! There was no internet. The photos do not represent the hotel When we raised these issues with the manager he told us we weren't in the system , hadn't paid and we're scammers. When I said this is not the room he booked he accused booking.com of being liars along with agoda trip advisor. Said you guys were the ones that stated all those "extras " would come with room and that you put those photos up. It had people living there with all their washing covering the balconies. We left & booked elsewhere. Disgustingly dirty & I mean EVERYWHERE!

The man who checked us into the room didn’t say one word just unlocked the door and left. Looks nothing like the photos. Used cotton buds on the floor. There’s a reason it’s so cheap and not worth the money

BrazilThe hotel is completely abandoned! These pics probably were taken +10 yrs ago. No wifi, the room was smelling mould and there was mould on the walls, there was cobwebs in everywhere, bathroom wasn’t cleaned, no towels until I asked, no toilet paper, the air con. was so noise ( I woke up many times cause this) and behind the hotel there was so many rubbish. I stayed only one night as it was a last minute booking but nothing matches with the pics and I definitely don’t recommend.
Being honest the only good thing was the size of the room.
