Location is 5 minute walk away from the busy central ubud, yet very quiet as soon as you are at the guesthouse. You will hear all the birds, frog ... and other nature sounds which really connect you to the nature. Breakfast is healthy with fruit, a selection of western style bf and balinese's bf (off the menu).

It is a very cosy, tranquil, inspiring place, a continuum of the best side of Bali's atmosphere. Hosts were very friendly and breakfast - great.

What a hidden gem! beautiful guesthouse surrounded by rice fields (this window view!), spacious room equipped with all you need, kind staff, possibility to pay by card even for airport transport, great value for money, perfect location, just 4 minutes (by walk) from the main road

    Nothing really.

Super friendly and helpful staff and always up for a nice chat. The location was perfect. Tucked away in the serenity of the rice fields but still close to the hustle bustle of the main road. The green pancakes for breakfast were my favourite.. And the laundry service was handy, too. Really cheap and lightning fast.

Super cozy affordable home base, 10 mins walk from Ubud's centralmost point (the palace).

The place is only accessible by motorbike, but that was fine because they sent two motorbikes for me when I was arriving via ride hailing- one to take my luggages, another to take me. Good service.

I got the king room. It was fantastic! It was spacious, the aircon was amazing which was very important to me, the table was large compared to all other homestays on my trip, which was good because I wanted to attend meetings with my laptop from my room. The in-house laundry service also meant that I didn't need to handle much additional logistics. The dad boss was also a very amazing and warm person. The location was 10 minutes walk from Ubud's centralmost point (the palace). This meant meeting people around Ubud downtown was just a walk away.

A pool would be nice, but benefits of the homestay atmosphere out weigh the pool.

A gem for travelers seeking a traditional Balinese family-hosted homestay experience and more.  Loved waking up in the morning and enjoying a first cup of coffee on the balcony overlooking the courtyard and family temple.  Immediately detoxed taking in the peaceful sights, sounds and smells of the rice fields and jungle coming alive.  Plants, stonework, paintings, sculptures, family temple and architectural details add to the authentic Balinese experience.  Nirwa 1 is conveniently located on Sok Wayah, ten minutes walking distance to downtown Ubud.  Sok Wayah is one of the most charming “rice-field” footpaths in Ubud complete with great coffee shop, restaurants and smiling locals.  As a solo traveler, I felt like Made and family would have my back with any matter, large of small.  They are respected members of the community where they both live and work and participate in local ceremony and traditions.   Not sure how much breakfast runs, but I loved my freshly prepared toast, fruit, omelet breakfast with Balinese coffee in a cozy kitchen dining area downstairs.  Bonus was getting to chat with co-owner and Mom, Ayu, who seems to have a heart of gold (ask her about her days as an artist).   Facilities are clean, bed comfy, towels fresh and water hot.
