Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SingaporeLocation is only accessible via a 5 min ride on the scooter from the main road, otherwise it is quite a long walk along a narrow path (at least 1km).
Everything was great! Hosts were very hospitable and helpful. Breakfast was wonderful. Accomodation was very peaceful and a good hideout from the busy roads of Ubud.

AustraliaNothing really, but from the main road to villa is a bit far to walk everyday. Kidem and his staff were always ready to give us a ride on the scooters.
Spacious bedroom, very comfortable bed and very friendly staff. The villa was surrounded by beautiful rice fields and very quiet, calming environment. Kidem was a great host and Wayan assist within seconds with any messages you sent regarding anything. Very very helpful staff.

Everything about this little oasis away from the crazy Ubud is fantastic! The views & rooms are outstanding! Kidem & Yanik went way over & beyond to help us with collection from the east coast with surprise stops on the way back !! Then our oldest son was collected from the airport & in the morning Kidem & staff made a table big enough for the 5 of us to share a super breakfast- not sure who was more excited about seeing my oldest son - me or Kidem it was perfect!! Will always be in my heart 🥰

South AfricaNothing. All 4 of us, my parents, my husband and I ...loved it all!
I cannot rate this place and Kidem highly enough. Our stay was absolutely incredible. The picturesque setting in the rice paddies, the sounds of the frogs and water at night, the fireflies ...it was everything we needed and so much more. Kidem and his team are the loveliest people, and Kidem himself went out of his way to ensure we had everything we needed. All of the other 10 star reviews I based our choice on to stay at Kidem are spot on. There are cafes and restaurants dotted on the pathway further up the path, and back down towards the main road. The location is fantastic ..an easy, 10 minute walk to the hustle and bustle of Ubud's busy streets and markets but so peaceful and tranquil at the villas. Kidem and his team make great breakfasts too. The villas are just beautiful too. We did not want to leave ...and will defo be back next year to stay at Kidem and Wayan's villas again! The last morning we told Kidem we were leaving early and didnt need breakfast...he insisted that it was no problem to make us an early breakfast, but we kindly declined because it was too early for us to eat. When he dropped us all off for the taxi on the main road he asked us to please wait 2 minutes ...and next thing he returned with chocolate croissants from the bakery for all of us to take with us.

South AfricaOur stay at Kidem was fabulous and the perfect way to end a lovely holiday in Bali - really well appointed en suite room with a patio surrounded by rice fields, so peaceful and quiet - very good restaurants nearby and a 10 minute walk into the hustle and bustle of Ubud town centre - Kidem and his lovely family were so charming and were true examples of Balinese hospitality and kindness

United KingdomOur villa looked onto the back of a building, which ruined the landscape a bit. The room is very basic and lacks some amenities like a hairdryer. The breakfast wasn’t the best but filled a hole.
Beautiful villa set amongst the rice fields. Ubud is pretty manic, but this was so peaceful and still within walking distance of the city. Kidem and his team were so helpful and friendly. We loved walking down the rice fields every morning, it was the best part of staying in Ubud.

FranceEverything was great!
Great place and great location: in 15 minutes, you’re downtown Ubud by foot. Quiet environment at the top of a hill, far from downtown chaos. But when you arrive, don’t be shy: make sure they come to pickup your luggage: it is a 700-meter walk going uphill (path is wide enough for a pedestrian and a Vespa- taxis have to drop you off on the main road.

AustraliaI recently had the privilege of staying at Kidem and Wayan's villa in Ubud, and I cannot express enough gratitude for the warmth and care they extended to me during my time there. Upon arrival, I was grappling with the sudden loss of my beloved pet cat, and their compassion and support were nothing short of remarkable. Kidem and Wayan went above and beyond to ensure my comfort, preparing soothing herbal teas and offering a listening ear whenever I needed it. Despite the heaviness of my heart, I found solace in the serene surroundings of their villa, knowing that I was in a safe haven to begin my healing journey. The villa itself is a testament to their dedication to hospitality and every detail meticulously attended to, ensuring a seamless and comfortable stay. Wayan's attentive service and Kidem's warm presence made me feel like part of their extended family. It's rare to encounter such genuine care and kindness, and I am deeply grateful for the sanctuary they provided me during a challenging time. Without hesitation, I can say that whenever I return to Ubud, Kidem and Wayan's villa will be my first choice for accommodation. Their unwavering hospitality has left a lasting impression on me, and I wholeheartedly recommend their villa to anyone seeking not just a place to stay, but a true home away from home."

AustraliaWe lived everything, there honestly wasn’t anything we didn’t like! Initially we were anxious about having to get a scooter up and down, but that ended up being one of our favorite parts of our day! So much fun! If I HAD to pick a negative, maybe the water drainage in the bathroom - water gets everywhere from the shower to the toilet, and took all night to dry. Really nothing to complain bout at all!!!
This villa is magical. It is not easy to access- it is set up on a hill that you can only access by scooter- contact the villa and they will send a scooter down to collect you and your luggage! We didn’t know this, and we walked for 40 minutes dragging heavy suitcases in 35 degrees!!!! The villa is set among rice fields. Lush greenery, with coconuts and bananas growing. We were in the last villa, next to a jungle and oh my goodness it was amazing sitting on the balcony listening to the crickets and cicadas, next to the jungle! Walking down the path to Kidem villas, your soul feels like it’s come home. It is peaceful, comforting, and my idea of heaven. At night, you can see fireflies!!! The room itself is basic- a 4 post bed with mosquito be. Great air conditioning. A small fridge with basic mini bar. The bathroom is warm, muggy, and has a comforting Bali wood smell. A rain showerhead, with good temperature water. A bidet, and toilet paper provided. The staff are so kind and friendly and accommodating. Whenever you want a ride to go into town, just send a WhatsApp message and they take you down. The scooter ride is safe, and fun, and you get to marvel at the beauty of true Ubud on the way up and down. Some small shops and restaurants, and yoga place on the trip too. The villa owners are so kind, and have beautiful herbal tea available at night. Breakfast is simple, but delicious, and so nice to sit on the balcony on the morning and enjoy it. Very cute villa dogs too! You can easily walk into Ubud- about 10 minutes to Ubud palace and markets. Many shops on the way. Easy to meet a driver at the bottom to go on day trips, or get a taxi to take you places locally. There is a restaurant, “pomegranate” that is beautiful at night, only a 5-10 minute walk down the hill, for nights you don’t want to go into busy Ubud. There is a small pool, but we were too busy enjoying Ubud that we didn’t get a chance to use it!.

AustraliaI wish I could have stayed another few days! Only negative is the difficulty in accessing this area, by scooter only - all possible, but rain really adds to the challenge. However, it also means its peaceful and quiet.
Such a wonderful place. The bedding, AC, facilities were all outstanding for this price point. The staff were happy, always smiling and willing to go above and beyond.
