One morning we had breakfast at 730 then we went back the next day at the same time and they told us breakfast started at 8 and we would need to request 24 hours before for early breakfast. NetherlandsThe bathroom clean but a little outdated. it was a semi outdoor shower, toilet and washbin. all worked well and was nice and clean but the total a little outdated. needs some fresh paint. other point, we are spoiled and are used to drink good coffee. we believe there is some attention needed at that point. especially as most other guests were west-european during our day, i believe the hotel can win more points if the coffee was better.
we had a wonderful stay. staff is great, the rooms with individual direct access to the lagoon pool was absolutely perfect. so nice and quiet and calm. the restaurant and the pool at the beach area are very nice. the hotel is in walking distance from the harbour where the boats arrive. 5-10 minutes walk, partly on sand pavement but it was doable. we rented 2 rooms next to each other. airconditioning worked very well. rooms are basic but all that is needed. staff does their utmost to make everything comfortable. we rented bikes directly from the hotel. just around the corner beautiful beach with very nice beachrestaurants with good food. nice place for sunrise. To watch the sunset we walked the other direction for 10 minutes. the main street on the island very nice with some nice restaurants and shops. we walked and biked around the island, which is just 5 km. wonderful stay on Gili Air

Really lovely staff, all of them!!👌 They did everything they could to help us.😊 Rooms small & nice but no indoor outdoor flow. Glass windows don't open at all. Door has frosted glass. Air conditioning didn't cope & even with ceiling fan running on full, the room wasn't cool enough, especially in afternoons. Fabulous pool but not serviced. the water got more & more cloudy & gave us skin rashes & we couldn't use it for at least 3 days of our stay. Beachfront pool was lovely. But no lounging chairs no umbrellas & only 6 small beanbags for 20 rooms plus public coming in to use the pool. The manager says they're getting some in August. We hope so. The beach out front has been washed away in a storm & so isn't easy to get down onto & is not a pleasant place due to storm damage rubble. The nightclub music at the breachfront bar & restaurant was always loud, annoying, & monotonous though they would turn it down temporarily if asked. The staff really are wonderful. Breakfast was excellent - we really loved the sourdough bread . & We loved Agis who is a waiter. Wifi was mostly poor but we were on Gili.. Bathroom was basic clean by Gili standards. We will stay again if reassured about pool maintenance & pool furniture at the beachfront & that the air con has been recently serviced & regassed.

ThailandThe issues people complain about are noticeable. The place could definitely use some love and care. Working in hospitality, it saddened me to see that the gardens, buildings are not well-maintained, and it seems like maintenance is falling behind. In the grand scheme of things, I don't think many accommodations are perfect, especially on an island. When the owner isn't present to oversee everything, things can slip through the cracks. But this can all be restored.
I read all the reviews to make sure I had realistic expectations, knowing that people can be quite critical about what they get for what they pay. I’m happy to say we had a great time. The walk from the ferry to the accommodation is actually quite short, only about 5 minutes, and it’s easy to get to town and find food. We really enjoyed the pool—it was definitely a highlight for us. Plus, the food we ordered was delicious, generous in portions, and very tasty. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I extended my stay from 2 days to 4, and overall, it was a fun experience, and the accommodation worked great for us. We had 2 days to look for alternative accommodation but found that this place was exactly what we needed. After reading reviews of other places, we realized we were in a good spot. and the bed was great

AustraliaThe rooms are dated, the air con hardly cools the huts (probably from overuse or the straw roofing) which can be uncomfortable during hot days when you just want nice chilled air. Burnt my hand on their cheap kettle as the whole handle (being plastic standard kettle) was just as hot as the boiling water. Bathroom water smells like sewage unfortunately.
Nice and peaceful. The lagoon circle pool looks inviting. The overall grounds kept reasonably well.

United Kingdomld have it on the lowest temperature setting and the room would still be too warm. The pool: seemed to always be turned off. Not the end of the world but we’ve seen lots of dead insects while swimming. Food: really not good, tried breakfast once and decided to stick to the restaurants outside of the hotel. Facilities: in general things need updating. I turned on the hairdryer and it started coughing smoke. The room is damp and the wall looks mouldy in the bottom. Poor cleaning.
The property was in a good location close to the beach. The staff were friendly and did their best to help with any issues. There has been a few issues (listed below) but the stay overall was OK.

United KingdomThere are no steps out of the swimming pool which could be difficult for guests with limited mobility. Hope the government repair the storm damage outside the hotel this year. Would be great if there is access to beach in front of the hotel in future.
We really enjoyed our stay. Most quiet and relaxing. There was an interesting choice of breakfast options and excellent coffee. An enormous swimming pool and sunbeds were located in individual padding pools which had a cooling effect. Excellent location only a few minutes from the ferry port and overlooking the sea.

Czech RepublicWe arrived one day later (the property had been informed) but our room wasn´t ready. Breakfasts are tasty but quite small portion. Staff at the restaurant do not pay almost any attention to the customers, music is extremly loud and waiting for everything is extremely long, fortunately you can choose from many different.
Beautiful property which needs a little bit more care. Both the pools are just amazing. Nice view to the sea. Big rooms with tropical bathroom nad nice terrace. Aircon very effective. Good location, beach nearby and many dining options. You can rent a bike for 50k per day.

United StatesWhen it rained the water came into the bathroom and we had to put towels down so we wouldn’t slip. AC didn’t work for two days but they were able to fix it finally and we very much appreciated the cooler air! A big property to maintain and would be so nice to have the gardens and lawn manicured and weeds removed as it has many tropical trees and plants.
The location is excellent and the staff was very personable and helpful. Nice tropical setting but needs more upkeep.
