Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaIt was difficult to contact the staff for check in. Phone calls were not answered initially and there was no-one on site to check in as staff were sleeping! Not the best check in experience.
The room was spacious and comfortable, lovely bathroom, good amenities.

PortugalThe only negative point I can find, perhaps, is the location, which although perfect and very central, is a bit difficult to get to at the end of the day, when we are already very tired as the accommodation is at the end of a street that is always going uphill with more or less 800 meters. For us, it was essential to rent a motorbike, which made our stay in Ubud much easier. The breakfast could be a little bit better, mainly the bread that was very dry and had very little butter. But the juices are amazing and the omeletes very well done.
Divara Ubud is perfect for your stay in Ubud. Very clean, modern, simple but well decorated. The outside pool is not huge but it´s perfect to relax at the end of the day, something that you will really need after a day in Ubud with all its traffic and thousands of tourists. The team of Divara Ubud is very friendly and sweet and even if they don´t understand you very well, they will try to help you with everything. Just near Divara Ubud you will find a very convenient place to rent some motorbikes, something that you will definitely need in Ubud to not stay 2 hours stopped in the traffic inside a car. We stayed at Divara Ubud for 5 nights and if i will return to Bali and to Ubud, i would definitly stay there again.

United KingdomNot having a fridge in the room was a bit of a nuisance as you could keep any cold water in the room apart from that everything was good
It was a small Homestay nestle away from the town centre but close enough to not be isolated. The rooms were clean, neat and comfortable.

This was our first accommodation on Bali, we arrived late in the evening and the owner was extremely kind and arranged everything. The breakfast was very good as well (especially the tea). The room is nice and clean just like on the pictures. The air conditioning worked very well and quickly. The bathroom was clean but a bit damp. I guess that’s normal as humidity is an issue here everywhere. We also liked the location in a quiet street but within short walking distance to downtown Ubud and the attractions. All in all very good value for the money.

RomaniaSome could say that the portion of the breakfast is limited, but this is generic in the area. It was enough for us. The VPN connection is blocked on the WIFI, which could be problematic for business usage, but this was also generic for each hotel during our stay in the area. In case you want to stay at the hotel all day to enjoy the sun, maybe this is not your place, because the pool area is mostly in shadow.
We liked everything. The breakfast was tasty, the staff was very kind, and we had always got what we requested. Drinking water was always complemented. The room and bathroom is well-equipped, modern, clean and well maintained. The small garden was beautiful and the pool was always clean. This hotel is a bit away from the crowded Ubud area, which makes it quiet and relaxing. The internet access is fast and stable.

United KingdomBreakfast was not bad, but was simple and the vegetarian options could be improved to include a savoury option. We ended up eating out for breakfast most of the time.
Lovely property with clean rooms, good shower, and sufficient wifi to work in (including audio calls, though video calls were less reliable). Staff were all great and went above and beyond during our stay. Good control of bugs, and great location - just a 10 minute walk down to the centre of Ubud but far enough away that the property was quiet.

SpainMost comfortable bed ever! We slept like babies. All the facilities are super modern and the hotel is quiet and peaceful. You'll probably want to have a scooter to move around as this is about 15- 20 minutes walk from Ubud Temple and even further from other touristic areas but if this is not a problem for you don't hesitate to book this place, best value for money!!!!!

FinlandI was more than content with Divara Ubud during my weekend stay in Bali. My room was perfectly clean (and cleaned every day), the breakfast is lovely and has many options to choose from, and location is superb with walking distance from the center, but away from traffic. I can highly recommend Divara and its friendly staff, who also helped me with arranging the transport from and to the airport. Many thanks!
