Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaTourist buses come through most days, but venue big enough to deal with it. It is very isolated so you need to eat and drink there etc.
This property was amazingly beautiful and well kept. Lots of nice places to sit and gardens, staff where lovely food really good.

United KingdomOur room felt like it hadn’t been cleaned in a while. Lots of cobwebs & our sheets felt a little damp. I’m not really fussed about this as I’m only travelling but for someone staying for a holiday it wouldn’t be the same! Also be aware of where you are booking your room. We were put well away from the main pool, reception, bar and restaurant and did feel a little isolated. The different names are for different locations. We were down the bottom with the smaller pool which was still fine but think our stay would’ve been more comfortable at the top. The taxi was also extortionate. Because grab and Gojek are non existent from this location they charge 500k for a 200k journey. We had to get an outside taxi to get us back to Ubud for 250k as refused to pay the 500k! The only thing I really didn’t like is that we were locked in overnight and no one told us. Getting up at 2:30am to do the Mount Batur trek to find the small gate leading out of the smaller space was padlocked. So had to go around the other way, to find that the main gate towards the reception was padlocked so we actually couldn’t get out to get our taxi (who was waiting at reception) we ended up having to walk down a really dark road in the middle of the night for about 20 mins before asking our to driver to come and get us. Just something to bear in mind. I felt quite trapped and worried if there was an emergency I couldn’t have got help. The WiFi was also really bad and with a Telkomsel Sim you only get signal at the restaurant.
If you’re looking for somewhere off the beaten track then this is it. It has stunning grounds and a lovely restaurant! The homes are very nice and roomy. The staff were the best, so kind and helpful!

LatviaAt first we were a bit scared that we were so far away from any facilities, because in the hotel you could see that there were only tourists who were brought through separate collaborations and were going on day trips with drivers.
We chose the hotel because of its location. It is in the middle of the countryside, where tourists don't usually go. We rented a scooter right there in the hotel and drove around to the nearest waterfalls. In the end we were glad we could walk around and see the real Bali and not the instagram bali. To stay here you have to be prepared to drive yourself to other attractions. We liked the massage that was included.

NetherlandsThis place is magic. I am sorry I wasn’t able to find out more about its story, because clearly it’s an interesting one. I was lucky to meet the owner while we both were on a morning walk. He is a kind gentleman and we had a little chat. The property is now managed by his son. It’s heartwarming to see that it’s a family business owned by locals. The garden is awesome. Take the time to explore the whole compound because it’s worth it, especially at night. I feel sorry we only stayed one night because there are lots of wonderful waterfalls to visit nearby, but they were fully booked. The room was a bit dated but clean and elegant and the staff very kind. I would really like to come back.

United Kingdom- Our room (16) had a damp problem, quite an overpowering smell. There was an oil burner lit when we arrived but as soon as that went out it was really bad. No wonder they lit something. But we booked and arrived with an hour and it was the last room on site so I assume they're aware of this and allocate it last, but stil... - Really was looking forward to using the amazing stone bath in the room, but soon after starting to run it, the hot water gave out. We were only there two nights so we didn't bother to ask for these things to be fixed. Last thing was their driver is SUPER expensive. It cost 450k for pick up from our previous place that was only 30 mins away. And suspiciously the same price as it cost another couple to get to padangbai harbour which is an hour away...so not sure what the deal is here but the value was real bad.
- Dinner menu and setting was really nice. Looked forward it each day we were there. - Staff were friendly and attentive. - The gardens are very well kept.

BulgariaThe music was quite loud, and the shower tho it looked very interesting wasn't very practical. There was no fridge, the dryer had only cold air, the place was really far away from everything and we couldn't get a taxi by grab or go jack. They offered a taxi but it was very expensive.
I like the place, the nature around it, the staff was very friendly and helpful especially mr. Eko! Overall it was pretty nice!

GermanyDue to the remote location, there is nothing close by and the local drivers don’t really want to drive you anywhere one-way. So they always pressure you to book a day tour with them. We walked around in the town and the dogs were quite scary. After seeing warning signs about rabies we turned around. The pool looks very pretty, but was very dirty too. My kids went swimming and it was just dirt and debris floating in the water. Our room was very old and worn down, quite dirty too. The outside space kind of compensated for it, but I had hoped we had a nice hut..unfortunately we got the old room. The bathroom had quite a lot of ants as well. Wifi didn’t really work either, luckily we had a SIM card.
The outside space and pool area is just beautiful and in the middle of the jungle. The breakfast was a lot and we really enjoyed it. The bed was very big and comfortable and the staff were very nice.

GermanyFrom the hotel and room description it wasn’t clear to me that I had booked a room (Bale Dangin, as well as the rooms Bale Kayu) located in another area (not where main pool and restaurant area area) and I was a bit disappointed. Dewi, from the reception staff was really nice though and allowed me to upgrade to Bale Batu (in main area) for a good price.
The main area with restaurant and swimming pool was really amazing, full of green and well cared. Room was very new, clean and well maintained. Food really tasty. I also liked the sustainability concept supporting the local community. The Margaritas made by Wayan at pool bar were also really good :)

Germanywe had reserved a room next to the smaller pool (baye kalu delux) if you plan a room there, keep in mind that you will hear the sound of roosters and dogs all night, which is not very good. And the room has a weird and strong smell of moisture. We asked them to change our room, from their side it was great, they immediately changed our room, that was perfect. Far from Ubud, market, restorants. You are there only or you can drive 1 hour to Ubud. And keep a eye on prices.
Clean room ! Good service, good friendly staff and a great place for a real vacation. And they have a good brekfast. Clean pools . If you what to be only on one place and relax this is the place . And not to hot, have some warm cloting for the night.
