Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

ChinaThe host is the most energetic man I ve ever seen. He is always willing to help us as much as he can. Rooms are located in a very greenery environment, where u will feel really close to the nature and peaceful. The host can help u arrange snorkelling , renting scooters and even sightseeing car which can help carry luggage down the hill.

New ZealandWe personally found the beds in the villas on the firmer side, but not terrible. The villas are not totally soundproof, and you will hear geckos chirping at night. The air-con unit light is very bright, so if you're sensitive to light at night, that could potentially bother you. We turned it off at one point, for that reason, but then got too hot. Not a huge problem in the grand scheme of things.
When we first arrived on Nusa and were driven to Darsan, I did worry we'd booked somewhere that was in the middle of nowhere! I was definitely wrong.. as long as you don't mind a hill and quite a steep one, there is an amazing place to eat at your local beach, and a very easy walk along the coastline to the main strip. Nusa is quite small, so it's relatively easy to get around. Nusa is, in fact, the ONLY place we rented a scooter, as we felt safer on the roads with fewer people. The grounds of Darsan are beautiful, and the pool is a salt pool (much nicer than chlorine). The staff are friendly and helpful, as with everyone in Bali. The bathroom to the villas is outside, which are just gorgeous. It's great value for money, and we would definitely stay there again. Thank you, Darsan. 😍

New ZealandWe had a great time at Darsan Boutique cottage. We had the family room, and the pool was awesome - decent size, deep and refreshing. The kids had heaps of fun in it. The main resort pool is also lovely. Location is good and we enjoyed the little beach close by as well as Kevin’s warung, which did the most amazing Balinese food. You do need to be relatively fit though, as everything a a bit of a walk or expensive taxi.

South AfricaNothing. Except that we didnt have more days there.
This cottage comes with its own plunge pool - we really enjoyed being able to rake a dip right there any time when it was really hot. My daughter and her husband were staying just next door and it was lovely just to sit and have a drink and relax /lounge around the pool and swim in the late afternoon or evening. The cottage itself was great. I particularly loved the outside bathroom and the general layout. The bed was super comfortable. And the airconditioner worked really well too. We all can't thank Gede enough for all the help with transfers (Gede squared ...both of you!😁), and transport and activities. We honestly cant wait to visit again!

Such a relaxing and lovely setting, a short walk to a great little beach with a little coffee shop, warung and wooden pathway round to a whole lot more restaurants and cafes. You can swim, snorkel, kayak, surf from right there. A little steep to walk back if you have any mobility issues, but fine if you dont. Breakfasts at Darsan were great too. So was the pool area. Gede was so incredibly helpful organising transport (scooter, buggy, taxi) and activities too. We will definitely be back!

SwedenFor a boutique stay there was nothing at the bathroom other than just a simple shower gel and shampoo. Nothing at the sink. No hand towel, no hand wash and anything else. We asked for hair dryer and it was provided. No warm water for shower. Our room had a mouse or rat on the roof I guess, it was making biting noise several times during the night. I don't think they could do much because we heard the same next night but less frequent.
Location is beautiful. Host is amazing and very friendly and helpful. Pool is great as well to cool off. You can rent scooter from him for market price. Host helped in biking boat to sanur and snorkelling trip. Mosquito net helps greatly. Water refill is wonderful gesture. Welcome drink is cooling addition.

AustraliaNothing. Would have been better if the restaurant and bar were open more than just breakfast time. Other people with low levels of fitness may find the walk up the hill from the beach difficult.
Our own pool was fantastic and the closeness to the beach

AustraliaMy only compliant would be that there is no TV in the rooms. Just nice sometimes to relax and watch some TV.
Gede is the oldest son and now mange’s the family business. He is a wonderful charming man who is very knowledgeable and communicates well with guests. Makes you feel very at ease and that he has been in the hospitality/tourism business for a long time. Cottages are as described, and with a nice little deep pool with the cottage i was in. The outdoor bathroom is always a nice treat and plenty of room

GermanyA little bit farther from the beach than we expected but within a walkway of 10 minutes so it’s not really a unsatisfying point.
Everything were perfect. Gede, the owner and his staff can solve nearly anything for their guests. Especially we were very surprised about grilled fish for lunch wich Gede shared with our family. He also organised a birthday cake for our son and many other things. Thank you so much for our stay. Property is very clean with lovely interior. Mosquito net also clean. Drink water for free. Mini bar. Water cooker. Clean swimming pool incl shower. Nice garden area. Terima kasih my friend.

GermanyAreas for improvements could be more focus on cleanliness and breakfast. And there were quite some bugs inside the huts. Occasionally the music from the pub nearby was a little loud. But that's of course not within the hotel's sphere of influence.
The place, it's setting and the garden with the pool were just lovely. Gede, the manager, was awesome. He is a true hospitality person and a rare exception in this regard according to my experience on the island. The location is walking distance to tiny, but lovely "Song" beach. It's quite remote from most other restaurants and sights on Lembongan, but I don't consider this a disadvantage.

Australiaonly thing is more is that because the toilet is outside, if you’re scared of bugs you may encounter some! there are mosquito nets which were great
Gede and the team went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and pleasant! The location is convenient but note you will need a bike. the walk to the closest beach is only about 5 mins though and from there you can access the beautiful cliff side area which has great restaurants and a Spring spa. Gede was able to help organise snorkelling for us too :) the rooms were comfortable and cleaned daily.
