The property is a hidden gem. If you want to rest in the middle of the jungle, that’s the place to be. The bamboo bungalow was incredibly well made, with a warm decoration and you could notice how careful they were with all details, from the bathroom to the varanda.

Room is a bit small, was pricey for 3 people. The hot water was not running, it ends very quickly and it’s definitely not the cleanest as gave me an infection.

There are a lot of mosquitoes here (not Bamboo Turtles fault though!) so just be prepared for that. They do supply repellent though which is so thoughtful ☺️

I loved my stay here! Everything was perfect, Wayan and her team were all so friendly and happy to help in any way. The Balinese breakfast is a must, so delicious! The treehouses were so beautiful and comfortable. The location is about 30mins car ride away (due to traffic) from Ubud, but I personally preferred being away from the hustle and bustle of the centre. Also, the pool is AMAZING! Wifi was really strong too.

It was a nature experience which I wasn't fully prepared for! So be prepared for things crawling and flying about, and sleeping in a mosquito net. It was all part of a very lovely experience, and one night was perfect for me in this location.

The room and facilities were absolutely beautiful. The breakfast was delicious and included, there were 2 options. I went with the Balinese sweet breakfast. The staff was absolutely fantastic! Ina was so kind, warm, and welcoming, and the other two staff with her during my stay were also helpful. As soon as I arrived, they knew exactly who I was and helped me with my luggage. Every detail was explained to me thoroughly, and they took their time to make sure I was informed and comfortable. The room included amenities like drinking water, an electric water heater, coffee, tea, mosquito/bug repellent. The outdoor shower was a dream. The view from my room was also like out of a photo album. I had a wonderful time in the lovely pool. It felt absolutely peaceful and private, in the middle of nature. One thing I especially liked was their detailed description booklet which explained how the property aims to be in harmony with the environment, sustainable, and have minimal environmental impact. Within walking distance were places to eat, rice terrace, and areas to jog. It was truly a wonderful and perfect stay for my 24 hours there.

Tranquil, quiet, beautiful surroundings, peaceful back to nature vibes - with fruit trees and nice folliage all around. The room was clean with really lovely furniture and accessories fitting the eco theme. There were insects, but it's part of the vibe and not a bother. The bamboo architecture was gorgeous. The pool overlooking the river was amazing. The staff was exceptionally kind and friendly. Breakfast was delicious. The outdoor spa massage was really good - I had it two days in a row. You have to arrange with the resort for them to come in. The resident cats Bamboo and Tumeric were so adorable. The dog Milo was just a cool and comforting presence. Of course, Wayan, the manager, is a star of the Bamboo Turtle Ecolodge. She is the sweetest and kindest lady I have ever met. Responsive on what's app, caring, and accommodating. Overall, it is a unique and memorable experience! Thank you, Bamboo Turtle Ecolodge.

Beautiful treehouse in a peaceful idyllic setting, steps down to the beautiful pool and river. Comfy beds, aircon, hot water, everything you need for a few days relaxing in nature. Fabulous staff who can't do enough to help. Yummy breakfast too. Selection of beers/drinks available on a Trust basis (help yourself from the fridge and pay on departure). Not much to walk to from the treehouse, but taxi is readily available via reception or whatsapp.

There really isn’t anything we didn’t like. All fabulous. It is important to note that the lodges are approx 20-30 minutes outside of Ubud, so you will need a scooter or taxi to travel around. Not an issue for us but something to be aware of.

Bamboo Turtles Ecolodge in Ubud is incredible! Don’t even think about just book it. You will not regret it. Wayun is a wonderful host as are her colleagues - a very friendly welcome on arrival. We were shown our lodge and were just amazed. Every single detail has been thought about, the design & decor are wonderful. It was luxury and we were immediately sad we were only booked for two nights! Walking down to the pool and sun loungers by the river, again every detail has been thought about. Looking back up from the pool area to the lodges nestled into the hillside amongst the trees was a beautiful sight. We were utterly wowed by our stay here. Mustn’t forget to mention the delicious breakfasts as well - loved the fruit smoothies!

The river is unfortunately pretty dirty & there are a lot of mosquistoes. But that is not something the staff could change.. Breakfast needs to be ordered in advance & is very simple.

The rooms, the staff and Wyan, Olivier and the whole feel of the lodge. It felt like a home away from home.

Wyan, Olivier and the team were amazing. It is a lovely location to just relax. The river is amazing and right next to the pool. It was so hospitable and had the loveliest feel. Highly recommend!
