Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Great Place to stay in ubud.... our villa was really amazing, bit far from center of Ubud but that just perfect for quiet. The villa located on higher level by surrounded area and made the rice fields view look very amazing, the staff is great! The most kind people I’ve ever seen. Will definitely stay there again when visiting Ubud next time.

United KingdomSheets are only washed every 3 days of your stay, and even then did not seem very clean. View from any of the new villas (any other than no. 1&2) is not great. Pool is not cleaned daily as stated in welcome pack. Room not dusted down, saw a few spider webs that just did not get cleaned for the whole stay. Plate mats for breakfast had a silly amount of ants on them one day, i had to get them off, after requesting that these be cleaner for the next breakfast this was sorted out and no problems after that.
Very good location, daily shuttle to ubud market, big bed (width wise, would have liked more length), daily room “tidy”

NetherlandsWe were told upon arrival that the pool was unusable due to unclean water, which was not communicated beforehand. This was the main reason for our booking, yet we still paid full price. Additionally, our room had stained towels and bedsheets, and the bathroom was dirty.

CanadaI think only Villa 1 and 2 have rice field views (there's about 6 or 7 in total) with the rest being 'jungle' view with a busy road below that leads to one of many swings but is a popular one for tourist buses/taxis - so be ready to have a jungle view with loud motor vehicle sounds. Also across villa 4 and 5 past the jungle view there is a day club with loud music that goes to about 11pm. You are surrounded by trees so be aware large spiders/critters can come into the villa as it is not fully sealed around doors/windows. One additional thing are the hosts - they are super nice and very attentive however sometimes a little too over attentive. Can't complain too much about that though.
Villa was very nice and quiet. Private pool was superb on those hot days. The breakfast was okay prepared to what you ordered, it did have a limited selection (i.e. you will only get one piece of bacon in that dish) and need to remember to order it the day before. The taxi/shuttle from the villa to Ubud center was nice though be prepared for the taxi driver to try to sell you tours as they are not affiliated with the villa. It becomes a little bit aggressive making some rides awkward but if you see past that you will enjoy your stay.

CanadaWe were not made aware before arriving that there are more villas being built and construction from about 7 am to 6 pm every day. This ruined the private environment since the workers were right beside our villa, and the makeshift fence was not fully closed, so we could see the workers from our pool. They also woke us up every morning with the noise and made relaxing at the villa difficult during the day. The restaurant is also currently closed, so you are able to buy breakfast and lunch at the Villa but not dinner. We arrived at 9pm our first night and had to buy snacks from the mini mart because no surrounding restaurants were open. For the price of this place we expected more.
This villa is very clean and comfortable and has an amazing view. There are currently 2 villas, each with their own entrance.. The staff are very attentive, kind and helpful. They helped us book a private driver our last day to take us to the airport and negotiated the price for us. The staff were really the highlight of this place.

IcelandI hope the hotel can fix the bathrooms at the villas because they smelled moldy and had some water damage.
The garden and the pool are absolutely amazing! The great thing is you can walk to the rice terrace and even to the Luwak gardens. The staff was very friendly and always ready to do something for us. We really liked them and they also provide drivers if you need them

ChinaBathroom smelled a little like mold and was HUGE. Feel like having an indoor living room would have been better, as we had spa services done in our bedroom.
Staff was amazing and made us feel welcomed from the first second. They made sure all needs were met. Location and view was stunning. Really felt like a private oasis.
