cleanliness was disgusting. As soon as we arrived after 6hours drive we wanted to take shower, both towels were dirty! Sheets were dirty, towel hanger in bathroom ripped from wall, trash bin in toilet rusty and we had to clean toilet ourself bcs it was just messed up. And the smell in the room was also not pleasant. No idea how hotel got 90% but this was like 55/60 at best and even that only bcs of location

Location of the hotel was absolutely amazing, directly in the cuty center newr seged dom in nice street full of restaurants including amazing michelin star Allabardo. breakfast in hotel was nice. Hotel has rly old feeling in a good way

Pretty disappointed in a hotel that calls itself "4 stars". The cleanliness was mediocre, beds not really all that comfy. There was mention of "soundproofing" but could hear the parties from down the street, and the emergency "exit" light that's present in the room was too bright for a comfortable sleep. But the most disappointing thing of all was the way they charged the stay. I specifically requested card payment on Booking so that I don't have to deal with local currency or do any payment at the location. Instead on the checkout I was asked for the payment of the room and to top it up it was 5 euro more expensive than what Booking showed on the reservation (city tax and all that included). I'm guessing that the "Genius" program is just cheap marketing and the discounts are only present on the website instead of the final bill. This is maybe the third time I have this experience in Hungary that I either have to pay some parking tax, more money than was shown in the reservation, lack of change for euro or some crazy currency values. Not sure if the hotel managements are faulty of Booking is to blame but it's worth mentioning here.

The behaviour of reception personal, and the dirty towels and bad air conditioning

Upon arrival, the stench in the room was great and the air conditioner made loud and strange noises that made it impossible to sleep, and without air conditioning in mid-August, you can't sleep. At our request, they gave us a new room with the same problems. Since we stayed for 3 nights, we somehow got used to those conditions. Breakfast is not refilled, and if you are not at breakfast until 8 o'clock in the morning, you may miss part of the breakfast. The worst thing that happened to us and for which we didn't get an apology either from the manager/owner or from the receptionist is the following. The receptionist tried to charge us double because she overlooked the room change. She tried to charge our payment cards 7 times, but luckily we didn't have that much money. The owner of the hotel tried the same thing, and in the end, when it became clear to us what they were doing, we stopped that activity. In the end, they charged us extra for breakfast, which was normally included in the room's price, so we had to go back and ask for our money around. A very unpleasant experience that spoiled the end of our vacation. One sorry was necessary and sufficient at least from a person who made mistake after mistake.

We liked the location of the hotel. We didn't like everything else.

the rooms do have a bit of a peculiar smell (we were in two) and we had to request to move from the first room as we could not close the room. It's a bit dated and needs some updating.

- it is very cold in the room - the farther your room is located from the reception, the worse wifi signal is, at least on the ground floor - there are only 4 tables available for breakfast, that's why you need to book a time slot so that everyone could eat in the normal conditions, that is understandable, but we came during our reserved time slot to find out that all the places are occupied, nobody from the personnel cares about whether you feel comfortable or not about that. There were no more eggs left 45 mins before the end of the breakfast, I asked for them and got nothing. Unfortunately I can't say that it is the service you expect from the hotel which is supposed to be a 4* one.

lovely neighborhood, all the main attractions are in the walking distance, if you come to the city by train you can easily access the hotel either walking or taking a tram.

I got disability access room I didn’t book. it was obvious that someone else got the room I booked as that type of room is listed on Booking.com. When I claimed to change the room the receptionist said there were no rooms available as the hotel was fully booked (I couldn’t change the hotel as 3-night stay was paid in advance) The safe in the room was broken so I got universal key for it (?!). The receptionist managed to hide the emergency exit light so I could sleep… All in one, huge disappointment :(

Nice and cosy room, very comfortable with the garden at the ground floor where smoking is allowed. Our requests for erlier check in and later check out are accepted. Breakfast is very nice.

It was quite low budget hotel, the bathroom was not so clean, the balcony was common with other rooms so I had to shut the certains all the time because anytime someone could stand in front of your window.

I only liked its location which is close to all famous monuments, and their shampoo that made my hair smooth

The staff was rude. The rooms were unclean. The breakfast was horrible. The only good point was the location. I do not recommend this hotel at all. Even the one night of my stay there was too much.
