Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

Lovely hotel, with big, clean, warm rooms in a quiet area of town. Located very close to the 100E bus stop and in walking distance to the city center and the river. The staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast is good, with wide variety of choices.

BulgariaSomething wrong with the shower head - it kept turning and couldn't stay in one place on the vertical bar.
The hotel is situated in a great location - 10 minutes to the river, 40 minutes to Buda Castle, 5 minutes to the Central Market, and 30 to the Parlament. At the same time, the street is quiet, making it a good choice if you are willing to get your "model 8" at night. The breakfast is fantastic, there are so many choices - pastries, cheese, salami, fruit & veggies, and even proposals such as tuna salad, dry dates, and flaxseed. Everyone from the staff was super polite and prepared to answer all types of questions! The gallery located on the 1/2 floor is a great place to relax with a cup of coffee/tea or have a work call.

No big deal, but hotel staff could provide this information at booking and check-in to avoid surprises.

Hotel is on a queit street although is in a central location. Great breakfast with lots of choice. Reasonable price considering it was high season. Air conditioning was effective and welcomed givien the heatwave in Budapest.

LatviaThere was a problem with shower, it was not possible to regulate the water temperature, staff said that someone will look at it and it never got fixed.
Location is perfect, especially if you use shuttle bus from airport. Good public transportation options near by and walkable distance to some attractions. Breakfast was good. Room was nice and cozy. Staff was very nice and polite.
