Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

FinlandWith 4 star hotel you could expect staff to be great but most of the time the service was not so good. Don't know if it's the cultural things but the experience in the hotel would have been better if the service staff would smile a bit and make you feel welcomed. Front desk staff was nice though.
Pool area was nice, breakfast buffet had multiple choices and it was good. Location was excellent, local bus goes straight to old town but still you can enjoy a peaceful area.

United Kingdom- Not enough proper pillows - the ones we had were very thin and only 1 regular size per person - Duvet wasn't big enough for the bed - Unfriendly and Rude staff at Beach Bar in Sister hotel - Although great selection at Breakfast, the hot elements were generally cold and disappointing, particularly Hash Brown's and Bacon
- Momenti Restaurant Fantastic - Lobby Bar & Bar Food Great - Sun loungers with personal canopy - Service excellent throughout

IrelandSome of the staff were rude and unhelpful, in particular the lady who did the omleettes in the morning. She never once smiled and very aggressive in how she spoke to guests and looked like she would rather be anywhere but doing her job. Some of the pool staff were also unhelpful, they did what was asked but did so begrudgingly.
We stayed in the hotel for 4 nights on our honeymoon. We received a room upgrade upon check in to a stunning room with a sea-view which was a lovely treat. The room was bright, modern and large. The bed was very comfortable. The hotel facilities were fantastic, the pool area was clean and both the indoor and outdoor pool were lovely. The food at the breakfast buffet was excellent, with a huge range of everything you could possibly want/need.

United KingdomA large bottle of water was left in our room on day one. Given the heat outside ( 30C + every day ) it would have been a nice touch for a bottle to be left every day.
The breakfast buffet was very good, with lots of choice. The pools, both indoor and outside, were excellent. The room was well cleaned every day.

United KingdomThe property and adjoining sister hotels grounds are very large but felt difficult to navigate (may have been easier with a longer stay!) the beaches are a good 10-15 mins walk away. There isn’t much other than the hotels in the immediate vicinity and it’s quite dark along the road and also within the complex at night.
The pool area and complex generally is very nice and there is plenty to do for a longer stay. The refurbed areas are lovely, very modern and the hotel is very clean. The terrace on an evening to watch the sunset is beautiful. I booked this hotel to chill out for a day before a more active holiday. The restaurant (Kronin) next to the hotel is was really lovely. Breakfast was great - I had a really lovely omelette! Could get a bus to/from Dubrovnik really easily.

United KingdomNot quite enough sits inside the bar area and we unfortunately had a bit of rain and sometimes there wasn’t enough sits. Location was a little bit fair from the main centre of Dubrovnik. As a couple 6/7 euros a day (bus return ticket). If you aren’t worried about going into town all the time then the hotel is amazing.
Hotel was amazing! The breakfast was fantastic, plenty of options and the staff were always friendly and welcoming.

EstoniaEverything was just perfect.
Very good breakfast and V level customers can choose to have a breakfast in less crowded a' la cart restaurant (this restaurant had also fresh orange and grapefruit juices). Also nice option for V Level guests to have a sunbeds and separate beach area for more comfortable stay without any extra cost.

United KingdomBreakfast was a little too busy for us, but it was well organised for the amount of people having breakfast at the same time and plenty of choice.
A busy but well organised hotel, which ran efficiently at a good standard in a great location with a lovely indoor and outdoor pools and access to a large beach too. If visiting Dubrovnik, but want to stay away from the busy old town for some relaxation then this hotel is perfect.

United KingdomThe breakfast was good but could have been slightly improved by some finer touches. The juice station could be fresh as opposed to just coming out of a machine but everything else was pretty much as you would expect from a hotel breakfast buffet, pastries, hot breakfast etc. The amenities in the room were a little sparse too, no shampoo or conditioner just body wash that doubled as hair wash, would definitely bring your own products if that’s important to you.
The highlight for us was the beach. The hotel is in a sort of complex of hotels and you have access to all the facilities of all the other hotels. So whilst paying slightly less you can enjoy the same comforts as those that pay more. The beach at the Valamar President is free to use for Valamar Lacroma guests and is a 5 minute walk away. They have free sun loungers and a restaurant towels etc, a feature I would definitely recommend. The sunset views are also amazing, definitely go for an evening swim, it was beautiful.
