Thanks to the house-owners Jure and his wife, they are in the right place :) Jure knows every stone on the island, very helpful with all information a recommendations, from beaches to food and island history, renting and oldschool car and producing his own amazing wine and olive oil. Perfect location on a quiet island. Jure and his wife were amazing hosts. Jure couldn't be more helpful and assisted us in every way to make our stay more memorable. If you have the option to have breakfast, it is really fresh and varied. Lovely restaurant a short walk away. Great swimming. We'll be back.

The room is exactly how it looks in the pictures. Do not expect a five star hotel, and you will enjoy your stay very very very much.

Jure is a very wellcoming host, you will not leave without tasting some of his wine or rakija. The view from the balcony was unforgettable, directly on the bay of Luka. Overall the room has everything you need and Jure will help you with information, organization and contacts to enjoy the island at its best. Thank you for everything!!

Nothing really related to the stay in the guesthouse - in Dugi Otok you depend on your car for everything and you will find yourself travelling for a cash machine often, and also Luka is nice and quiet except for the church bells which can be really insane at 6 am in the morning.

This is one of the most beautiful stays I have ever experienced. Jure is super nice, speaks languages from half the globe and will do his best to make your stay the best one possible. The breakfast tastes local and fresh, the views are incredible, I slept like a baby, and I frankly love the roof fan. And the views! Did I mention the views?

Just keep in mind that there is no airconditioning, but a ceiling fan. We actually prefer that, but good to know.

Everything about our stay was wonderful. The guesthouse provided a spacious room, comfy beds and gorgeous views from the balcony. Luka is small, quiet and lovely. But the host, Jure Picic, is the main reason to come here. We were very warmly received, got amazing tips for our stay and he helped us arrange a trip to the Kornati islands. Our car tyre went soft and he fixed that! Highly recommend.

Missing air conditioning in the summer heat

Similar to previous reviews, Jure deserves the first mention. He is a very hospitable, thoughtful and proactive host e.g. he was immediately on the phone to ask a restaurant to open for us as we were hungry and had just arrived. He went totally above and beyond. His advice and tips were super helpful and made for such a beautiful and enjoyable trip

Great host who loves to share his knowledge of the island. A short walk to town for awesome food on the waterfront. Swimming in front of the guesthouse and wtb easy parking. It's not a problem for us, but you do need to keep the louvers open and the fan going as the room is hot. Highly recommended

The location of the house is gorgeous. We felt at home from the first minutes after we arrived. Plenty of private parking space, which is out of the ordinary for this island and this particular location. Jure, the host, is very welcoming, thoughtful and super helpful with advice and tips for exploring the island. The room was very pleasant. It had all we needed and more. Comfortable beds, immense terasa with stunning views of the sea and the village, TV, refrigerator, private bathroom. The breakfast was abundant and delicious, in what we consider to be the most charming rustic dining room with the best view ever. Everything superlative!

Truly zero complaints.

Staying here with Jure is like staying with family. He goes above and beyond to welcome you and help you plan a beautiful experience on Dugi Otok. Jure is so welcoming and sat down with us to go over many of his favorite places on the island and how to see them - from kayaking to sea caves, beautiful beaches, unique landscapes, incredible snorkeling, boat trips to Kornati - his guidance and suggestions helped us have an amazing time on Dugi Otok — what a beautiful island with SO much to see and do! Our room was clean and comfortable with a large balcony with a gorgeous view of the water, other islands, mainland mountains and of course the lovely fishing village of Luka. The shower felt amazing after days in the water. We slept well in the big bed. Breakfast is extremely fresh and delicious — so much is local to Jure and Luka! It would fill us up for most of the day! Luka is a wonderful, peaceful place to stay as the bus is easy/quick from the Zaglav ferry, it is so lovely on the water, it’s quite close to both ends of the island (about a 15 min drive to TNP), and it also has a village shop and a few restaurants we really enjoyed. We loved everything about our trip, and we owe it all being such a success to Jure, truly! Thank you for your kindness and hospitality and love of Dugi Otok, Jure! We highly recommend Picic Guesthouse and can’t wait to return.

Bathroom ceiling could use a little repair.

We had to book a place last minute when the weather turned foul on our kayak expedition. We were so lucky to find Picić! Jure loaned us his wheelbarrow for our gear and breakfast was wonderful!

Wow! Jure is the best host that I have ever had in Booking. He os super communicative, knows everything about the island and has very good recommendations of food, beaches and things to do. The guesthouse is located at Luka - it's comfortable to get anywhere in the island. The view is amazing, they clean the room every day and take care of everything that you need.
