Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomLots of stairs to get to the flat. My boyfriend and I are fairly fit and we struggled. They didn’t provide little things like hand wash - that would’ve been nice. Also payment is in cash.
Great location, it has air conditioning, spacious loft type of place, very clean. Comfortable bed. Perfect for a couple of nights. Nice view.

United StatesAlthough we loved the little balcony overlooking the water we found the chairs a bit uncomfortable after about 20 minutes of sitting. An upgrade of the chairs would be appreciated.
The location is great. On the edge of town so you don't get overrun with tourists but close enough to hum "The Stroll" and by the time you finish you're into town. We easily walked from the ferry to the apartment with our luggage. Nice clean facilities. Some very nice restaurants and bars nearby and the paved route out to the Golden Horn is another great walk but you'd need to repeat "The Stroll" several times to reach it (15-20 min). A comfortable couch, table for 4, a big TV with decent wifi (a bit weak in the bedroom) and a serviceable kitchen plus a dishwasher and a clothes washer. This place is ready for visitors and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We never needed the aircon so unable to review it.

IndiaMy bed probably had bed bugs. Was completely bitten after the first night. Tried to look for the bedbugs but could not find them. Called the owner to inform him. He denied that any bedbugs could have been there, which maybe the case, but did not even look for them or ask someone else to look for them. I slept in the second bedroom for the other two nights. The rest of the stay was fine but the I was completely full of bites and I found the complete disregard of the possibility of bedbugs and proving any help in solving the problem quite inconsiderate. The photos of the apartments are also confusing as there seem to be more apartments, which was a bit unclear from the booking site.
It was very close to the port and the main areas of the town but located just in the lane behind the main road, which made it a quiet apartment. It is functional and has all the basic things you need, including a washing machine. I was given the apartment with two bedrooms and a large lacing.

Polandstaying for 5 people and they leave you 2 paper toilets, 2 bags for trash without any instruction where to throw it, if we ask to change the towels they say yes and dont do it for 48 h, dont pick up the phone, you might see how clean it is after arriving floor brushing
