Such a beautiful hotel, with excellent staff. Lovely views from the balcony room. Beds were comfy & the rooms were quiet at night. Breakfast was lovely. We had swim and a sauna / steam, all facilities were very clean. A beautiful coastal walk right infront of the hotel. Restaurants only a short walk away. I would definitely stay here again.

Spa is not sufficient for quantity of guests even off season and opening hours are very limited. You have to pass resto wearing your bathrobe and sleepers . Dinner food was often too salty . Needs renovation all over.

The hotel dates back to 1884 and is the oldest hotel on the Adriatic. It has an excellent location with a wonderful view of Kvarner. Under the beautiful terrace is the hotel beach, where a few friendly locals swim practically all year round. the breakfasts are excellent. the staff is very helpful, attentive and friendly. The main city center it’s just a few steps away. Our nice large room with a sea view, high ceiling and a terrace was wonderful.

The only thing that was missing was infusion for the sauna.

We had an amazing time! All staff was excellent and took great care of us. Reception and restaurant staff did an amazing job. Breakfast was delicious and the food quality was good. Rooms are spacious and very clean and the spa area was better than expected. Not to mention the heritage building which does not only have a great vibe but also gives you a royal feeling...very dreamy...

Very minor things: - mosquitos were still around when we stayed there and there were about dozen of them in our room until we got rid of them - there was a storm one evening and windows were shaking almost like there was an earthquake

Beautiful location. A lovely historic hotel, very comfortable and beautifully furnished. Excellent breakfast. The staff on Reception were extremely helpful and gave us good advice about our onward trip.

The whole experience was excellent. The staff were very professional and friendly. Upon arrival we were greeted by Selmir who was very professional and helpful in providing information regarding the Hotel and surrounding area his Restaurant recommendations were spot on. The breakfast facilities were great, all in all a fabulous holiday.

Vegetarian options at the restaurant for dinner could be improved and renovation should be continued - even if its not easy because of the historic building rules.

This is Opatija’s and probably the whole Istria region’s oldest, still operating hotel - and not by chance. Charm, tradition, best location, athmosphere and excellent service - still. Hotel has improved in the recent years - facade was painted, wellness in the basement and a truly 5 start breakfast - finally. And staff grew up to quality - Selmar, Hrvoje and others here to help and efficiently arrange everything. Funfact: talking to the people one of the few hotels where they are happy and positive about their owners and bosses..:))

Food very expensive and not of the quality one would expect. Extremely poor risotto with about 3 tiny shrimps. Duck was nice, but lukewarm by the time it was served on the terrace.

Elegant hotel, classically furnished, with good facilities. Attractive terrace. Extremely polite, attentive staff. Beautifully furnished large room, with sizeable balcony. Excellent breakfast.

This is my favorite hotel in the world! The breakfast is great, with so many delicious options. The location is perfect, and the hotel itself is beautiful. But what truly sets this place apart is the wonderfully warm atmosphere, which is created by the most amazing staff. I have to give a special shout-out to Hrvoje at the reception desk, to Ivan and Luka from the concierge desk, Jurica from the spa department, Lena and all other great people serving breakfast at the balcony and catering the beach and pool area. They all truly went above and beyond!

Car parking is kind of a struggle as the parking there is very small and we were redirected to a 30€/day garage located 5 minutes by feet from the hotel. Not the end of the world and quite customary to pay expensive parking fees in Croatia but we stayed four nights and were never offered a parking spot at the hotel.

Amazing old palace hotel freshly refurbished right on the edge of the sea. It has some splendor in it and you feel like you are travelling back a century ago. Very helpful and nice staff, the free upgrade of accomodation was very appreciated. Very good and generous breakfast on the terrace and great leisure facilities with a private beach accessible directly from the hotel, a pool and transats to chill under the majestic trees in the garden.

breakfast was phenomenal, the hotel is obviously very beautiful, the staff are amazing, location is spectacular. we were very sad to be leaving. The provision of the valet service is fantastic (big thanks to the lovely luka).

Beautiful location, stunning room and views, and incredible staff. Hotel is in the center. Service is outstanding. Parking is 25 euros a day and breakfast included. Absolutely loved the hotel.
