The only thing is the pillows were too soft for our taste.

Hotel Istra is set right on Lungomare and has amazing views. The staff is extremly helpful and kind while the buffet offers variety of meals for everyone's taste.

Food did not meet my expectations. I have been to many different hotels and if I compare food with similar hotels, this one didn’t have so much choice and the quality wasn’t the best. I also think that they are understaffed in the restaurant so the whole experience is influenced by this. You also don’t have a guaranteed parking space if it’s high season or holidays.

I really liked the rooms and the location of the property.

The location of the accomodation is perfect, in the heart of Opatija, 5 m from the see, very close to the center. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Amazing view from the rooms on the seeside. It was our second time to be here and we really enjoyed it. The room was cosy and clean, The breakfast and dinner was delicious. The hotel is highly recommended.

Breakfast was decent - a lot of choices. Needed more coffee service and the coffee was not good. Bathroom was very small and not enough counter space. Shower was very small.

The view from the room was amazing! Loved the balcony. Parking was good (in October). Great walking promenade. Pool was nice. Very clean.

room was lovely except the mattress could off been at more comfortable. breakfast was good but also could of have a more variety which could off had bacon. beach was lovely.

Room felt so cozy and had the nicest sea view. You could even hear the waves. Breakfast was very nice, they even have a gluten free corner. We already booked another stay in December. ☺️

No parking. Not no free parking - no parking, period. We happened to easily find street parking but this could have been a huge hassle. I guess parking is not realistic in this neighbourhood.

Nice clean modern hotel. Free breakfast is awesome. Hotel is right on the water with an excellent view including from lobby bar. Very pleasant staff.

We found some excessive dust in the room and some hair on the sheets, but but we recognize that the period was full of tourists, so we understand and overlook these small details.

Breakfast was extensive and high quality. Room was wide, even if we found air conditioning not working well (at first, it didn't get below 27 °C, but the technician immediately intervened).

Everything was superb.

Breakfast , and food overall was great! I would prise chef , we stayed only 3 days, half board , and dinner was fantastic every evening. Beach in front of the hotel is great advantage.

Cleanliness of the hotel could be better-common spaces such as elevators or dinning area. Also the food was so so. The breakfast was fine, but every day were the same meals prepared in the same way. This could be improved at least slightly-different croissants or pancakes or eggs prepared in different way. But still, the breakfast was totally ok even with this fact. Dinner is not recommendable, the quality and the taste of the food was not very well. We stayed 8 nights and took the dinner just twice, because we didn’t like it. We consider that paying the facilities at the beach is just not ok for the hotel guests. Also very small beach and there is no enough capacity if you like to sleep a bit longer. :)

Polite & nice staff, the room was fine and relatively clean. Bed was very comfortable. Also great location.

The rooms are in need of refurbishment and do not meet expectations for the price point. The beach is very small and the sunbeds policy is silly. You can't reserve your sunbed and, as there's not enough room for hotel guests, the only solution is to get up at 7am and take your place.

Check in, and some very little details

Surprised with the conditions and service, from my experience I think it deserves at least a 4 stars hotel. Perfect food, fresh, delicious and many choices Very comfortable and clean rooms (thanks to Vera) with stunning view. You miss a chance if you don't try Maya massage, (she beats Asians) and also the perfect coffee made by Tea. I highly recommend the Istria Hotel, for me it was the first time but for sure not the last one.

longest checkin procedure I've ever experienced, and then they got the room wrong - double instead of twin. breakfast ok but dinner mediocre
