Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesParking - if you are coming with a car just keep in mind that the paid street parking is not guaranteed, you have to get lucky to find a spot near the building because it is in the best location so everybody wants to park there. Church bell - there is a church right next to the apartment and the bell goes off around 6:30-7am every morning and the bell rings over 100 times. It’s loud and long and you are pretty much up at that point.
Wonderful, clean, modern, and very well equipped apartment in the heart of Split. The location of this apartment is the best! The only thing better than the location is the host, Bruno. He is absolutely amazing and goes above and beyond to make sure that everything is perfect and everyone has everything they need. The historic building doesn’t have an elevator so he helped get the luggage to the apartment. He also helped with the parking and the laundry. The apartment is on the 3rd floor (4th if you count ground floor as 1), however the stairs are wide and large and for me the stairs weren’t an issue.

PolandI liked everything. What you should pay attention to before choosing this apartment: at about 7:00 in the morning the bells start ringing (but it is not very loud). Also the apartment is on the top floor without an elevator. The dishwasher did not wash very well, maybe it should be checked or cleaned.
very close to the center, 1 minute walk to the Riva embankment. To the beach where we went Jezynac 15-17 minutes walk, also there is a bus going there right from the house. The apartment was very clean and bright, Bruno was responsive and polite, gave recommendations where to go. We also found that the iron did not work, the next day Bruno bought a new one and brought it to us. The apartment has everything and even more: a dryer for clothes, an ironing board, bathroom accessories, washing powder, paper towels, various devices, game cards, a city map, tea, a colander, a hair dryer, only scissors were not found.

United KingdomMinor point only as nothing can be done to remedy - the Church bells at 7.00 am were a little annoying when we wanted a lie in.
Bruno was an excellent host, very friendly and gave us plenty of good recommendations for places to eat. The apartment was clean, very spacious and in a great location to the old town and for walking to boat pick up points to do some island hopping.

United KingdomThe only thing we hadn't anticipated were the stairs up to the apartments, since they are on the 4th and 3rd floor. There was no issue for us, it was just tiring, but maybe something to keep in mind.
The location was perfect, right in the centre of town. Old town was no more than a 3 minute walk away, and the nearest beach (Split beach) was 10-15. The apartments were clean and well-equipped with bath towels, air conditioning, an oven, and wifi, and Bruno was super friendly and had great communication with us, helping to organise airport shuttles and answer any questions we had.

United Arab EmiratesI was fine with this but you have to walk to several flights of stairs to get to the apartment. There is no elevator.
Location is amazing. 3 minute walk to boat trip departure points and coach trip departure points. So close to everything in the old town. Short walk to the braves. The apartment is clean. Wi-Fi and bathroom and kitchen work well. Good laundry facilities.

CanadaThe stairs. This is no fault of the owner, but it does need to be clear that if you have any mobility issues this is not the place for you. The stairs are clean and wide, but if my family members with knee or hip issues had been here they would not have been able to make that climb. The apartment is excellent and I am no athlete, but those stairs are no joke.
The location was perfect. Just a minute off the Riva so everything is in close walking distance, but since we were not on the main road the apartment was quiet. The view of the old city is gorgeous, the air conditioning kept the rooms cool, and there was plenty of space to feel comfortable with everyone's luggage.

United KingdomEverything was perfect, the only thing which could have been improved would be fewer steps upto the apartment!
Superb apartment, very spacious, clean and perfectly located for the promenade, old town and Palace. Only 15mins walk to the train station and ferries. Bruno met us at the apartment and helped with bags, carrying them upstairs and storing them for us when we arrived before check in time.

United StatesA toaster would have been nice in the kitchen
My wife and I sold our home in the USA and travel the world full-time. Therefore, our "home" is in apartments across the globe. The Furioso apartment in Split ranks among the top apartments we have stayed at in the world. The apartment was located in the PERFECT location in Split - right at the end of the famous Riva promenade - which was so enjoyable to stroll down in the evening. Because we travel full-time, we cook most of our meals at home. The kitchen had all the appliances and utensils we needed (except a toaster), so we were able to enjoy our meals at home. The apartment was laid out well and very comfortable. The large kitchen table was an ideal place for us to set up our laptop and get some work done. The building was historic - - 200 years old - - which was very cool! The apartment was also very quiet which was perfect for sleeping without any distractions. I have saved the best for last of what we liked about our stay at Furioso - - Bruno, the apartment host. Bruno, although a young man, was "old school" with respect to customer service. He did a FANTASTIC job communicating with me prior to our arrival to ensure we knew where the apartment building was located and how to check-in to the apartment. Rather than being a "self-check-in" process (which is so prevalent today and so impersonal), Bruno communicated with me via text throughout the day we were checking in so he could coordinate a time to meet us at the apartment. He met us, helped us carry our HEAVY luggage to the apartment, showed us the apartment features, and then sat down to have a nice chat with us to get to know us better. This type of customer service simply does not exist in the apartment rental business these days. Bruno also kept in touch with us throughout our stay to ensure we were comfortable and had all we needed for our stay. By the end our our stay, my wife and I both felt Bruno was more a friend than a host.

FinlandThe apartment was at the 4th floor. No elevator, only stairs. The church bells rang every morning at 06:30 nearby. Real hell's bells...;-)
Location was great. Just next to Riva. It was very easy to walk everywhere in the centre from the apartment. Host Bruno was great. It was very easy to communicate with him. The apartment was clean.

United KingdomAlthough we knew before hand that the apartment is on the 3rd floor and that there wasn't a lift, we didn't realise how hard the stairs were going to be. We are both in our 60's and the stairs ( 76 steps - my wife counted them ) were quite tiring and we regard ourselves as reasonably fit.
Very clean and comfy. Everything you need to prepare food. Plenty of windows for good light. The owner Bruno was very helpful and will give you good advise on the local restaurants and the general area. He also carried our luggage up the stairs to the apartment for us, which would have been a struggle for us.

SwitzerlandThe only downside was the stairs to get to the walk-up apartment. The staircases are very wide so there is room to haul up a suitcase but there are a lot of steps! It wasn’t an issue for my family but definitely something to consider if anyone in your family is older or has mobility challenges.
This was a beautiful, bright apartment in walking distance to all the key split attractions. It is surprisingly much bigger than it looks in the pictures— we were very comfortable as a family of 4. It has a little clothes washer and dishwasher for extra convenience. Bruno was great and even offered us flexibility on our checkout time. Highly recommended.

CanadaCouple of things that could stand to improve: - bathroom was extremely dated and not clean - walls are paper thin so it was extremely noisy at night with next door neighbours playing blaring music - no elevator so it was a challenge to climb 9 flights of stairs with luggage
Very nice and spacious apartment. And very centrally located on the main street and by the water too. Lots of restaurants just below the apartment and buzzing night life. Very close to the Old Town and Marina.

United KingdomThe apartment was not what we expected. Single beds, on a mezzanine with only a very low rail around. Sofa was very stained and the shutters only worked on one window (not easy to operate). No sharp knives in the kitchen, kettle was a bit hit and miss. In the bathroom the shower bracket was broken and the light over the basin was wired to an unprotected switch.
Location was superb with easy access to the old town and harbour area. Bruno the host was very helpful. He carried our bags up 4 flights of stairs and allowed us to store them on the day of departure. He then carried them down for us.
