Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Travelling
CanadaThere isn't really anything that I can say negatively about this hotel. I enjoyed it and never had any issues with my stay.
I was not sure what to expect from Canopy. But from the moment I checked in, everything went smoothly. The room was a good size with a significantly updated bathroom and shower with good water pressure. The breakfast was excellent, with a very good selection of food and specialty items. The room, surprisingly, was quiet, considering the railway system was right across a bustling street. I was never woken up, nor did I notice the noise. Location can throw you off as you may not think you as central as you want to be but everything from the train station, music hall and city center are within 5-10 min walk. The hotel had underground parking with in-and-out privileges for 30 EUROs a day, but because of its location, I barely used my car rental. There is a great café that has a lovely outdoor area and very friendly staff. It is a hotel I would consider again on my next visit.

CanadaParking for the hotel guests using nearby garage, and provides 24H parking has a very steep price.

KosovoThat we had to leave soon.
Great and friendly staff. Early check in was allowed easy and simple without additional costs. We were travelling the whole night, so, we needed to rest. Beds were super comfortable. Great offer for breakfast. We also had great dinner. This will be our place to stay when we come back again to Zagreb. Cinema is next door, so, we went to watch a movie.

AustraliaDisappointing how this hotel is now going with service. Everything is get it yourself , water, ice, no even minibar go downstairs and select. Requested a bottle opener was told to “come downstairs and get it from the bar”
Very comfortable room about 10 min walk to centre and convenient for train and bus station. Room not ready but they do have a very convenient “transit lounge” to leave luggage and even have a shower

AustraliaWe did not see any other cafes or restaurants nearby, that said we did not have the opportunity to explore that much as we were only there for a day.
The property is centrally located (500m to King Tomislav statue) and had parking available next door. It was quite well located if you have a car because then you do not need to drive into the city proper. The parking was 30 euro per 24 hours.

United KingdomPerfectly positioned for the start of our fly drive along Croatia's coastline within easy walking distance of Zagreb's famous attractions and wonderful array of restaurants. The rooms were beautiful and suited my family of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids aged 10 and 12). The facilities were excellent, and the buffet breakfast was a big hit with my boys. The parking was excellent. It was secure and located below the hotel, meaning that you could take a lift straight up to reception. There were larger parking spaces for our SUV rental, and the car park was well signposted. The hotel communications were also excellent, and I had a few questions prior to my arrival, which were answered swiftly. Nothing was too trouble. The reception staff were also great on our arrival. They showed us on a large takeaway map where to find the restaurants, bars, and attractions and even mentioned a few attractions we didn't know about, which made our holiday in Croatia even more spectacular. The attraction was the new cable car, which I definitely recommend! Thanks for a great stay!

Our stay was absolutely fantastic! The hotel team did a wonderful job, besides being kind and flexible. We booked the half board and I think it was worth it. The room was great, good size and beds were comfortable. The location was great, about 15 min-walk from the city centre and 20 min car ride from the airport. Uber works great for moving from the airport to the hotel. The breakfast was modest but very good!

SingaporeI felt the lifts were really slow though, not sure if because we were there on a day when a ton of guests were checking out.
We loved the hotel's location, there's a tram station just in front, and is perfect for hopping on one to the city centre or the bus station. The beds were comfortable, the shower strong, and there was ample space to hang our clothes, jackets and put our luggage (I love the number of hooks and hangers!). Water was also provided free via a filter, which was great. Staff were friendly and polite. We arrived really late also, and was checked in without any issues.

MontenegroLocation even though close to local tram station and with easy taxi access but it is rather 15min walk to the centre. Anyway it was my mistake. And it is quite strange not to have sheets for the baby cot but we managed.
Exceptionally comfortable bed. Room in total was also great. Attentive service from reception to housekeeping.
