Great location with a shop and a few places for food on the main rd. Bus takes you into Zadar and the bus stop is outside the hostel. Few beaches within 10min walking distance.

I didn’t like that they took my passport as a deposit. but this might be standard for some hostels.

When asking a member of staff if there were a place to hang my wet clothes, as I had walk 30 minutes in rain from the busstation, I was told to just sort of hang it outside...But there were nowhere to hang it, and it was my quite expensive and lightweight rain jacket, my backpack, trousers etc. I didn't feel comfortable having them lying on the furniture in the common area without me being there. I saw a few days later that they have propper drying racks upstairs... But wasn't told... It would have been great to have told me :) Instead I hung my wet jacket and bag on the edge of my bed! The gate is quite noisy when it closes. It's very loud when you sleep in the Women's dorm right close to it when people are coming home from town in the night.. Could there perhaps be glued some carpet or soft thing on there to minimalise the slam of metal against metal? :) The pans was not to healthiest of pans, as the antislip was coming off, but perhaps that is to be expected when so many people are using them daily. I normally dry my washed up plates etc myself, but there the teatowels were nearly always wet, so the staff came and put all the washed up things in their place. Would it be a good thing to leave a stack of teatowels on the shelf, encouraging folks to dry and put away themselves... Hm, perhaps it would cause too many wet teatowels.. bit just an idea :)

I liked the relaxed and comfy area just beside the cooking area. I visited end of May and it was warm enough to be in the covered area. Met some incredible people there from all over the world. I borrowed a locker for my draw underneath the bed for 5 Euro which was returned when I left. Nice staff. Some remembered to tell more information than others at check-in, but they were all very helpful when asked 😀 The kitchen was well equipped. My Son was able to borrow a towel when asked, as he had forgotten his, which was very kind of the staff. I also asked for an warm blanket, which was supplied immediately :) Generally, I found the staff to be wonderful and helpful :)

I exoected the two rooms with 7 beds each to be separate however it was one big room with a separating cardboard.

The woman at the reception was very helpful providing us tips and directions about getting to the old town and airport. We stayed in 14 bed shared room but still there was no issues with privacy as everyone was accomodating. The hostel had an overall friendly vibe with everyone chilling,cooking and eating together.

The bed is a bit loud whenever someone try to turn or move, but it’s kinda foreseeable for dormitories like this.

I met all the good people here in the hostel, the staff is patient and friendly to answer all your questions. They are wonderful for solo travellers like me!

My dust allergies were triggered when in hostel, overall the place is very clean but I guess there's build up somewhere. I also booked an excursion through the hostel which wasn't great value for money.

The staff were very kind and helpful. The kitchen is large, well equipped and always very clean and tidy. The location is great, walking distance from the old town, close to a small store and pharmacy and 15 minutes walk from a Lidl. The bathrooms are very clean and well maintained and the showers are great.

At 22:00 it’s written people have to be quiet, but at the first day when we came- some people was drinking outside and were super loud till 3am…

I’d say the shower situation could be a touch better but only minor, they were always clean and it is a hostel at the end of the day :)

Open communal areas that invited you to be social making it easy to make friends and chill out. The Wi-Fi was good so I could do some work and it was quiet during the day. Shops were literally a minute walk and a taxi €5 to the town centre though it’s a beautiful walk along the sea so we did that most of the time
