Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

HungaryThere was no slipper in the room, and the carpet was a little spotty. We got a room in the older part of the building, and it was a little visible on the walls and surfaces.
The staff was very nice and efficiently solved our requests. We arrived late in the night, but the receptionist was very helpful. The the cosmetics of the room were nice and the bed was comfy.

MontenegroThis time in the hotel we were placed in a different section of the hotel that seemed less modern, less updated, and not as high quality amenities. It was still extremely comfortable and very clean! But, after our previous stays in the more updated section of the hotel, this room felt a little less quality. But we understand that there are always parts of hotels that are not as updated as the main sections.
We always love our stays at Hotel Aristos. Facilities are comfortable, and a great value for what we pay. Staff are incredibly friendly, kind, and helpful. The location being right off of the highway is a great benefit, and that is a huge reason we will keep booking with Hotel Aristos whenever we travel through Zagreb (which is at least 2-3 times per year due to the nature of our work)

The spa is fantastic, best massage I’ve ever had. The staff are absolutely lovely. The waiter/barman Alan stood out and made my time at the hotel memorable. He was very observant and knew exactly what drinks or food I was interested based on my previous orders. The reception staff were very helpful with my requests and made check in and check out easy as well as assisting with taxi services. Breakfast was an interesting combination of local dishes as well as your standard western breakfast food.

United KingdomDue to flight being cancelled I had to book a hotel near the airport at short notice (with no help from the airline!) The staff at the reception could not have been nicer. They arranged for my request for laundry to be expedited and were very helpful in the morning when I was checking out. The lady at the ground floor bar was also very pleasant and helpful.
