The location itself is remote, but it worked for us, as we wanted to go to Krk island

Close by to Krk which was our primary reason to stay here. Short car ride to all the great places but the price is so much better than staying on the island itself. The older couple running the place are super sweet and lovely!

No A/C in the room and no nets on windows. There is only wall mounted shower head, no handheld shower, which makes it a bit difficult to shower little children.

Very nice host family, always helpful, will give you advice on where to visit, where to eat,... They often gave us fresh tomatoes, figs, grapes,.. from their garden, offered homemade prsut (prosciutto) and wine and prepared grilled fish caught in the morning by the host). We spent nice time with them. The apartment (smaller studio on the ground floor) was spacious enough for family of 3 (2 adults, 3yo child). Plenty of storage, big beds, modern kitchen (lacks some equipment if you plan to cook often: pasta strainer, can opener, and a big pot would be plus, but if you ask the host, they will lend you some). Also the apartment doesn't have washing machine, but there is a washing machine next to the grill and they will happily help. Some people complained about the apartment being "dark" - there is pergola with kiwi / grapes in front of the room, which makes it a bit darker, but on hot summer days it protects from sun and heat. We stayed for 14 days and didn't really find it too dark. Also a big plus is plenty of sockets around the apartment to charge your devices As for the beaches, we preferred not to visit the nearby beaches in Smrika / Jadranovo / Crikvenica as they were too frequented. We found a bay on Krk Island (just 10-15 minutes ride by car) next to local quarry (Uvala Peskera). Park the car next to the beach, walk for 5 min (avoid the first stripe of the pebble beach, which is ok and the water is clear, but unfortunately the beach is full of rubbish) among the rocks and you will reach cute little bays, where you have enough privacy and peace to enjoy the day. Alternatively you can drive to the other side of the hill (the road is a bit rocky) and arrive to a small peninsula with the fort Maltempo (Utvrda Maltempo). You will find 3 small bays / beaches on one side and enjoy bath with view on Krk bridge, or rocks / small cliffs.

For us was fine.

Nice local house with all comfort. We booked for 5 people and was quite comfortable. It can be also good for family stay for a long term as they have all the facilities , big kitchen with all necessary things, living room, large bathroom, TV, WIFI , We stayed for two nights. Just you must have a car, as to go to seaside on foot is not the best idea ) The hosts are very good people.

Doublecheck if you are to get an apt. with a view, those are on upper floor. Ground floor apt. might be bit dark for a longer stay.

The hosts are welcoming and helpful. Ask them for directions to town beach. Apt. kitchen is big and well equipped.

Unfortunately very disappointing.Ground floor apartment was very dirty-nothing as described on booking.com. App hasn't been cleaned after previous guests. I wasn't expecting very hight standard,because of the price (60 € per night)But I couldn't stay there. We're arrived late evening with small children,and left early morning. Bathroom was absolutely disgusting. Very disappointing,because I based my searched on the reviews and they were positive-obviously only the upper apartments are OK. But I can't understand how could they offered us dirty apartment. Fridge was dirty,there was dog's hair on the sofa bed where my daughter was sleeping-it hasn't been hoovered probably for months. And there were ants coming out from the wall in the 'main' bedroom plus mould in another corner. Horrible night! The owner lady did apologise,but it wasn't comprehensive.
