Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomTo be really picky, only got 2 coffee pods a day for the room....but I'm sure we could have asked for more. There were also plenty coffee shops in the area 😀
The staff were lovely, and also very helpful. Both the bedroom and bathroom were large for Hong Kong. Location was also great. Bonus was a bottle of champagne in our room for our honeymoon.

Location was excellent. Rooms a good size with plenty of storage drawers and wardrobe, plus room for suitcases. Air conditioning worked well. Bed and pillows comfortable.

United KingdomThe only disappointment was the lack of a kitchenette and there was no microwave. The room description and photos were not very clear about this. I guess we needed to upgrade the room to get these facilities.
Excellent hotel in a central position close to the harbour. The hotel was very clean and well serviced. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was a good size by Hong Kong standards and comfortable.

AustraliaCouldn't use the rain shower as the water would fill up the bathroom floor through the shower door. Perhaps a sign advising in-house guests not to use the rain shower - so guests do not have to mob the flooded bathroom floor especially on the first night :-( It would be great if guests can access the roof top area.
Fantastic location for transport and meals - a few minutes walk to the MTR station, bus and tram stops; many eateries around and nearby for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The one bedroom was spacious and comfortable but a bit tired not quite like the photos on the website. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

RussiaWhen you look at the hotel description, there is a photo of terrace on the roof, but in fact this terrace is only available to those living on the 31st floor, not for everyone. There is a small smoking terrace with no view at the 3rd floor. There was no adapter for charging (we bought one at JHC store next to the hotel)
Good location, next to subway, central and Macao ferries, supermarkets and restaurants area. There was a deposit (500 HKD). Fast wifi, nice view (17th floor). Spacious room by Hong Kong standards

PhilippinesThere was a repair in their water system during our stay which 1.) made the color of the water brown in the toilet bowl and 2.) there was a night until the following morning wherein we needed to use a pail to flush the water in the toilet manually evey use bec there was no water. Also the built in microwave was broken in our room but they lent us another microwave to use.
Surrounded with very good places to eat, grocery and near the train station - all within walking distance. The 1 bedroom apartment was spacious enough for a hotel in Hong Kong.
