Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United Kingdom'Free Breakfast' wasn't up-to much and the fact that it is a multi-use building so 1and2 floors are a clinic of some nature for older people. The air-con wasn't the most adjustable.
Location, Location, Location. Room size great value for Hong Kong.

First of all, location of this hotel is amazing. It’s really perfect to experience Hong Kong’s vibe. Room was solid and hotel receptionist was helpful.

Hong KongCheck in staff was not very friendly, although very efficient. So HK. If you need help with directions or anything, you are better off with google.
Location: 10 mins walk to mtr. tram right across. Buses, 4 mins away. Taxis and uber easy to book. Breakfast was very simple. bread, coffee, OJ. Rooms were well lit, very clean and quiet. Well maintained. Convenience stores, mcdonalds, 7-11 and a local bbq place right across.

BrazilThere was a big mess to get us to the correct number, I was traveling with my best mate and we booked a room with 2 single beds. It took us 3 room changes to get into the correct one (they upgraded us in the middle but there was still only a queen bed, so we had to change again). Also, there was a small problem with the payment, which made me pay the hotel twice and I spent about an additional hour in the reception trying to get a refund for one of the payments. That being said, those were punctual problems and I don't believe shoud be taken so much in consideration as I understand they are not reccurent.
Perfect location, right next to the train station and street cart stop. The hotel room was very comfortable, with good AC, very clean, and the staff was super helpful. They also have a laundry room, you have to pay but its not that expensive.

MalaysiaBreakfast was rather limited - some pastries, coffee, toast. Could have been a bit more substantial with some more choice. We found the staff to be a bit impersonal although responsive.
The rooms were well equipped and clean. Bathroom water pressure was good and the windows were nicely laced with blinds and curtains. The beds were comfortable and the linen was clean. We liked the location which is just a short walk away from Wan Chai Subway Station. Food and snacks easily available from multiple eateries, restaurants around the Wan Chai area, the hotel is also convenient for Causeway Bay and Times Square. The breakfast lounge was clean, though small and bonus was coffee available throughout the day. The fitness room is small but well equipped with some dumbells and a good treadmill.

United KingdomThey are very understaffed. Only one receptionist handles day to day matter. When I was trying to check in and picking up my luggage, I had to wait 30 minutes standing in the lobby with a long queue behind me. Also, you do have to get down to 5th floor for drinking water which is slightly inconvenient. Wish they have that at every floor
It locates very close to the underground station and is convenient to visit local shops in Wanchai area.

ChileDesk chair was too low, and glass desktop meant my mouse wouldn´t work. The off-green tone of the glass in the room is a bit annoying. At first unable to log into wifi, phone not working, so elevator down to lobby to find out I was registered with my first name as my last, so where it asks for my last name had to put my first name. No big deal, but when you arrive you are a bit tired. Grr.
Location was excellent for the HK Exhibition Center. Room was decent size. Had coin-op laundry. And Fitness center. Nothing great, but a functioning treadmill does the trick. Noodle shop next door (going out and to the right) was AWESOME.

United KingdomBreakfast was too cramped due to the number of people in the small room, with children. The bathroom is a glass cube, with curtains, just be aware of limited privacy. Taxi collection booked to return to the airport didn't happen, nothing to do with the hotel, which resulted in some panic and more a sign of don't rely on Uber!
Location was pretty central, close to Wang Chai MTA, though we arrived by taxi. Reception is a ground floor office to an elevator. Rooms are 5th floor and up. Room was bright and clean. Reception was good and efficient (English is not the best language in Hong Kong these days). Breakfast was OK, but busy and small for the number of people. Better than a premium brand hotel we had stayed in some days before (this was a split break).

United KingdomIt’s NOT very clean. I actually had to give the room a wipe down when I arrived - everything just felt a bit dusty and grimy. The room was also quite run down - wallpaper was yellowing and starting to peel off.
It’s conveniently located - plenty of shops/cafes/restaurants nearby.
