Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United Kingdom11th floor location with only 1 functional lift meant access was frequently slow and on a few occasions we had to walk up 11 flights of status in high humidity. whilst we accept this wasn't the properties fault it did impact on our stay.

PhilippinesI just dont like the other locals that we encountered in the elevator on our way to Ocean Inn, we're surprised that she is angry on us, until we got to our floor, she was shouting over us.. Even me and my husband are not talking during our elev ride😔
I love Ocean Inn so much... Im so speachless of its cleanliness, Terry is soooo nice and the owners are very down to earth.

PhilippinesI hope the 4 elevators are functional especially during emergency there was a big rat along the alley going to our room trash was beside the elevator on the ground floor during our stay only 1 elevator was functioning you are allowed to use the elevator if your room is on the 8th floor or higher you need to que to ride the elevator...only 7 people are allowed per trip

New ZealandThe Guest House could not have been better placed - beside a metro station and very close to an airport bus stop. The owner/manager was very helpful. The weather was extremely hot so having access to a fridge and washing machine was great. The room was a reasonable size given that it was Hong Kong.

ChinaIt is a little bit lousy to wait for the elevator in the rush hour.
It is a nice place where you can enjory fast access to public transportation. One less perfect thing, unnecessarily speaking, is that you have to wait for elevator during the rush hour in the building. Except for that, almost everything is good, nice staff, free drinking water and comparatively quiet environment.

The place is very accessible and is just beside the MTR Jordan station. The elderly couple and the younger lady that runs the reception are very nice people and very accommodating. Our room is very clean and is such a nice place to stay. This has become our favorite and will definitely book the place again in our future HK trips.

United KingdomJust a note to say that Ocean Inn is on the 11th floor of a building with a very busy elevator (at least in my experience), which for me is perhaps the only downside to mention here. Be prepared to queue up for the elevator at almost any time of day. Option B are the stairs, which are all right but they do wear one out in the humid heat of the summer months.
Amazing location for Hong Kong, right beside the MTR (Jordan station exit B), with Temple Street Night Market just down the road. Rooms were perfectly clean, on the small side but that's normal in Hong Kong, the owners are lovely, really helpful and friendly people. Affordable stay, too! Enjoyed discovering nearby areas of Yau Ma Tei and Tsim Sha Tsui. Would return to stay.

SpainThe main problem could be the lift: there are in total 4, 2 of them go to the 1-7 floors, and the other 2 to 8-14 floors. But there was only one lift working for the whole building, so sometimes was a long queue. It's not the hotel problem but I just wanted to pointed it out for the future hosts.
The room was big enough for 2 people (not huge but it was ok), the bathroom has a shower without any separation from the toilet and everything ends wet after having a shower (it's easy to clean it) and there were several places to plug in your electronical things (they have the C type so I didn't need an adapter, but in the rest of Hong Kong they usually use the G or D type. It's recommended to bring an adapter). Outside the room there are a communal fridge, microwave, sink, washing machine and cleaning tools, so everything was easier. The lady from the reception was really nice and speaks English. I could checked in before the check-in time so it was really convenient for me (ask them before if I could check in before the check-in time) In general, I was really confortable in this hotel and it just in front of a MTR station (Jordan Station Exit B1, with a lift). Also, there're restaurants and little supermarkets where you could buy the basic stuff.

The space was perfect, comfy beds with a really good, hot shower in the little wet room. Perfect for a solo traveller. The staff were also amazing and let me check in around 2.30am due to a delayed flight, and we’re so nice about it! It is a little tricky to find, but once you find it you’ll have no problems.

This hotel is the perfect example to the say “don’t judge a book by its cover”. The entrance to the building is quite particular, but once you are in your room, the accommodation is clean and well set up. It has AC, hair dryer, and free water. The location is also good, just in front of the Metro station Jordan, 5 minutes to the night market, and 20 minutes to the harbour. There are many shops and malls around. The bus to the airport also stops 5 minutes from the hotel.
