Only downside is because it’s super remote you have to eat your meals there which the food is super good but definitely overpriced. I would have loved some more local style food options for the dinner especially but everything i ate there was food

My favorite hotel I’ve ever stayed at it’s literally so gorgeous. Every inch of this hotel is immaculately well kept and designed it’s insane. Also free sauna with herbs, incredible swimming spots, staff is super friendly and overall the best

Since there isn’t air conditioning, we needed to leave our windows open, so we could hear our neighbors chatting on their patio late at night. The hotel has a 10pm quiet policy, but some guests still were a little loud.

The view and location are unbeatable! That was seriously such an amazing experience. The staff is also really friendly and the rooms are clean and cutely decorated. We also enjoyed the food even if it was a little pricey. Definitely glad we stayed here!

The hotel was somewhat expensive and it is difficult to not spend a lot of money on food because of the isolated location. You are basically forced to eat a certain amount of meals at the hotel. The sauna is a bit crowded because of how small it is.

The room was breathtaking and the entire property has stunning views of the Lake. The sauna and hot tub were both very fun experiences. There are lots of easy day trip excursions that you can make from the hotel.

Communal bathroom door didn’t lock Felt like the tip shouldn’t have been included in the tab but optional (as it was on the price of the room and food) Restaurant food wasn’t great in the evenings

Lots of stairs but worth it for the views. Plus I ate a lot there so the stepping was good to balance out all the food.

Given that outside food isn't allowed on site, it would be helpful to have a kids menu for smaller bellies! All of the breakfast dishes or entrees are far large for any child under 13 years old. For instance, the pancakes are 3 large pancakes---my daughter would eat 75% of one. This led to food waste and large bills (lucky for you!). We also ordered just a grilled cheese (no soup) for our 5 year old but were still charged $11 for soup and sandwich! Also, we would order a breakfast but was consistently not given our tortillas or juice.

Staff was very kind both before we arrived in our communications and while on site. The orientation to the Casa was thorough. The quality of food was excellent (concerns about the quantity, combinations, delivery). The grounds are absolutely stunning.

We needed to keep the window open to keep the room cool and there was a small hole in the screen so we had quite a few flies find their way into the room. Also, I love a good pillow, and ours had seen better days. Neither of these things would affect my decision to stay here again, again and again!

We loved our stay! It was everything I had hoped and more! The grounds were beautifully maintained, the views unreal, the restaurant was very good and the staff were so accommodating! I would recommend Casa del Mundo to anyone visiting lake Atitlan.

I liked the food but it was a bit expensive considering the location and hours of the lancha, we needed to eat here every night.

The only thing is that there are a LOT of steps, but given the location that's to be expected. One thing that maybe could be changed is the water pressure in the showers and maybe a couple of fans for the rooms.

This hotel is absolutely gorgeous! Expectations meet reality here for sure. The staff are amazing, friendly, and are so incredibly helpful. There's a restaurant open nearly all day and the food was fresh each and every time.

The hotel is on the side of a mountain so get ready to be going up and down stairs frequently.

The views from the hotel are incredible and the property itself is stunning. My boyfriend and I both decided this was the most beautiful place we’ve ever stayed. The hotel had great food and service and they offer paddle boards and kayaks to rent which was super fun.

the hotel was absolutely beautiful!! the staff were all amazing and the all of the food especially the smoothies were so yummy! there def is lotsss of stairs which I knew before going but once you're there it is TIRING! if you are planning to explore other nearby towns in lake atitlan u have to be mindful of doing it earlier in the day so that u don't miss the last public boat as the private ones can get expensive. the only downside was that since u cannot flush the toilet paper, the bathroom didn't smell too great but it was cleaned regularly.

Casa del mundo exceeded our expectations. Every detail from the Jardins , food, lounging areas with hammocks to the attentiveness of the staff made our stay the highlight of our trip to Guatemala. We swam, we dined, and we enjoyed relaxing with stunning views galore! We highly recommend booking a spot at Casa del Mundo. Note that the rooms are very basic but comfortable and tastefully decorated. the stairs are unavoidable.
