We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United StatesA little more upkeep in the showers would be nice. The bass from the restaurant's boombox seemed to concentrate in my room. I felt taken when getting 7Q per $ when exchanging at the desk with small bills. And use the mosquito netting if you want to sleep well.
You step through the restaurant and you are on the beach. Great location. Hammocks over the sand. Clean facilities and common areas. Nice basic room with easy to access mosquito netting over the bed.

NetherlandsDon’t expect (western) luxury. The town is still authentic and not so much part of the main travel route (for travellers outside of Guatemala). To me it’s part of the adventure and experience of the town. The rooms come with a not closed roof (so insects in the room), or with a solid ceiling (but less ventilated). Besides that I felt that the place is more focussed on the party people during high season and weekends
The food in the restaurant of the hotel is very good! The place is right on the beach. The town didn’t develop so much yet into a mass tourism hotspot. I like the absence of big hotels or mass tourism, with local restaurants and life. Nature around is beautiful. Staf was helpful with placing mosquito nets and solving miss communication about transport.

NetherlandsWe took the non airco room because airco was 100 Q more. Sadly we are not that rich but it is unbearable at night because it gets super hot. It would have been nice if all rooms would have airco. Also, there is loooooots of musquitos. It was driving us crazy!!
We loved the facilities. The bar, restaurant, swimming pool, table tennis.. the location is super nice, on the beach! Breakfast with a view ;-)

CanadaYou can hear everything from the attached room. The couple next to my room was watching documentary at 2am. Had to request 3 times before they lowered the volume; I was still able to hear it till 4am. It's not the hotel's fault. Some travelers are just very inconsiderate of other people.

IrelandDue to the structure of the building - wooden and thatched roof, noise travels between rooms, so it doesn't feel very private, we didn't hear noise from the bar/restaurant though which other reviews have mentioned.

United StatesIt was very noisy on the weekend. It was much better on a weekday but the restaurant has canned music that starts in the morning and goes until past sunset. Lots of young people don't mind. I'm not young and chose to use ear plugs at times.
The beach location. The restaurant and the pool. Oliver, the owner, is helpful and manages the location well. If you like action on the weekend, El Delfin has a restaurant, a bar, a swimming pool, ping pong, and, of course, the black sand beach.

United StatesNeighboring party one night was super loud, but frankly with our A/C it didn't affect our ability to fall asleep at all.
Location is perfect, staff was wonderful, price was highly competitive and felt like a steal to have Pacific frontage in a clean/safe environs with A/C for what we paid. Would certainly stay here again!
