Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyA little minus that we didn't have a microwave and the kettle didn't work properly. Also the owner couldn't talk good English, so sometimes it was a little problem to ask some question.
It was pretty clear in the room, we had a conditioner which was really helpful in this hot place. Also, we had a little kitchen. An owner of the house was a really nice women, she was really friendly. The room was perfect for price which we've paid for it.

GermanyThere are several supermarkets nearby, but the assortment is limited, so you need a car if you need anything special. Other attractions can be also mostly reached by car, however, if you only care about the beach, the place is perfect!
The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The kitchenette was minimalistic, but sufficient for our daily cooking. Our most favorite place was the terrace (we stayed on the ground floor, "Superior Studio"). You can enjoy looking at the beautiful garden and listening to cicadas at night. We appreciated that towels and bed linen were changed regularly. The wonderful sandy beach is just 5 minutes walking distance. The shallow water is ideal for small children. There is a nice local car rental nearby that offers good prices. An important note to keep in mind: there are two places called Agios Georgios in Corfu. The northern one is close to Paleokastritsa and usually pops up in the online guides. The villa is located in Agios Georgios South. To our taste, the southern one is way better :D

RomaniaIt’s easy to image that, at that pricepoint, the room was not very large. Air conditioning was a bit old and could hardly handle the heat during the day. The host understands little to no English. Payment was made only with cash, a fact which we were not told beforehand. All in all, to us it was fine really, but where I’m getting at is that I can see why for someone else it wouldn’t be.
Villa Nefeli is a solid option for those who look to spend their holiday at the beach and not overspend. The room we stayed in was clean, the beds were comfortable and the villa is situated close to the beach. However, I recommend the main, larger beach in town, which is situated 2 km away, if you don’t mind the walk.

BulgariaFor the same price we got 2 very different rooms. One of them was basic and with kind of old furniture, the other one (the luxury apartment) was a lit bigger and with quite a lot of facilities. I didn’t understand why they were on the same price. Unfortunately the staff didn’t speak English (the land-lady spoke just a little bit) and the interaction was a bit difficult. Also the luxury apartment was not well cleaned. There were spots of dirt on the sinks and a lot of dust on the aspiration of the kitchen stove and on some of the shelfs. Also the air conditioner wasn’t working properly, it couldn’t get to cold the room, when we told the staff about it, they just responded “it is OK, no problem”and then something in Greek that we couldn’t understand.
The property is on a walking distance to the nearest beach and some of the restaurants in the village. It had a beautiful garden and a great terraces where you could chill with a view of the sea or the garden. The stuff was nice and they let us check in even a little bit earlier in one of the apartments in order to be able to go to the beach.

GermanyWe were not so lucky to get one of the upper apartments, and stayed in the basement, where you didn`t have a seaview at all, but a lot of mosquitos. The "french bed" is a sleeping couch, the kitchen is not very well equiped (we had to buy glasses) and the oven is very old, so is the bathtube with moulded shower curtains and a sink that only empties veeery slow. All in all for the price we paid it`s not really good value. There is no ancient township, only hotels, restaurants and supermarkets - not a really charming place...
The host family is very friendly and welcoming! They ask for your needs and offer wine, juice and water for the guests. The sleeping room is basic, but okay! The fridge is very big, new and clean. The plants around the house are very beautiful and well kept - if the inside of the apartment was like the outside, what a wonderful place it would be! The beautiful Agios Georgios beach is very close, and there are sun umbrellas and waterbeds at the house that you can borrow! Parking with a sunroof for free! A bakery car passes by around 11/12 o´clock. Some nice restaurants around!

HungaryA couple of things which didn’t affect our impression at all: - if you plan to reach to the property by bus from Corfu town, you can use GreenBus, but the bus route may vary slightly and you may accidentally miss the bus if you wait for it at the wrong stop - the kettle in the room was scaled up due to hard water and we boiled water for tea in a pot, so, if it is possible to clean the kettle that would be another pros
The place is awesome: 5 min from huge, clean beach with sandy bottom and clear water, 3 min from nice taverna with delicious local cuisine, milkshakes and soups of the day. On top of that, this is a very quiet place, only a few villas around and you can hear cicadas singing in the evenings and birds singing in the mornings. Hosts are kind and very friendly couple, they always ready to help and to provide any advice you need from them. They barely speak English, but it’s not a problem and communication was smooth. Also another contact point of this property who answers online, speaks English very well and he/she is always helpful and supportive, we got a lot of useful advice from them.

We had the most wonderful experience at villa Nefeli. It's perfectly located, the beach is just 200 m away, and it's always quiet and not crowded even in July. Not far from villa there is the Malibu cafe with traditional Greek food, delicious, freshly cooked. But the most important thing about villa Nefeli is the hosts, Prokop and Suvla. They are the most kind and they treated us almost as if we were a part of the family. Our son got treats, and we did too, they were always caring and helpful and their attitude touched us deeply. Villa is beautiful too, with lovely little terrace in every room, a blooming garden. Our room was relatively small but clean and it had everything we need. We are genuinely grateful for the stay at the Nefeli and we hope to come back:).
