Room was a bit smaller than expected. Not much free space once you open 2 suitcases. Location was decent but a bit farther walk from Fira centre than we expected.

There were a few things in the room that were inconvenient or dangerous: the lid/top of the toilet didn’t stay upright. So it was resting on your back.., The stairs from the jacuzzi on the balcony get really slippy when you get out of it and it gets wet. My daughter slipped en fell off the stairs the first time and hurt herself. Maybe you can put some anti-slip stuff on the stairs frim the jacuzzi…

It was good, especially the little lical specialities. For us this could have been more and less European style breakfast.

The decor and furniture in the room was a bit old fashioned. We booked a double room but we got a twin room instead.

Our room was situated right beside the pool and had a lovely private seating area out the front. The pool was a good size and had great views of the beach. The room was nice and big and the beds were comfortable.

Slightly over priced because it is on the more “picturesque” side of the island and close to Oia.

Good room, nice pool, friendly staff that very willing to help, average breakfast included with stay. Easy to hire a quad bike and get around the island, easy drive for sunset in Oia (very busy in summer months), even closer drive to skaros rock for the view or walk over to Fira old port as it’s also an incredible view.

breakfast choice was very limited and the staff at breakfast watched your every move which was rather off putting. what looked like it used to be a bar at the pool area was closed which was a shame

Nothing! We struggled with how busy Santorini was and this was out of the crowds but still close enough for what we needed.

The hotel was perfect for what we needed. The staff were brilliant and they allowed us to leave our luggage and stay by the pool when we arrived early and when we needed somewhere to be once we had checked out. The reception staff were so helpful and gave us lots of info. about what to do on the island. The hotel is only a 10 minute walk to the bus station so it is great for getting everywhere. The pool was a lovely place to relax and the breakfast was great and made life really easy in the morning.

Gianna Suites is small but had a very personal touch. The staff were very friendly and helpful, advising on anything we needed. 10 minutes from the central square was very convenient and the steep hill helped keep us fit whilst still indulging in fabulous food :) The rooms are comfortable with air conditioning and were cleaned every day. I really don’t understand the negative comments about breakfast. It was mostly continental and the range was very good for a hotel of its size. Thank you, Gianna Suites (Evelyne) for helping to make our 20th wedding anniversary trip so special.

The only down side is that the property is right next to a very steep hill, however, most of Santorini is very hilly so that is not the accommodations fault! i would still stay there if I had the chance again😀

This is going to be a lengthy review as there is not enough amount of words to describe what a FANTASTIC experience we have had at Gianna Suites. Reviews are very important, as we had looked at reviews before we booked this place, therefore, I am going to give a very truthful one. The receptionists Matthia and Evelyn were honestly sooo helpful and kind. They made an effort with us every single day and formed a lovely friendship with us, helped us with any information with the island and were always there for anything. Initially, I was worried about how we were going to reach the accommodation, however, Matthia was very responsive on booking.com and booked our transport both ways and the driver arrived bang on time. Our bedroom was so beautiful, spacious and EXACTLY like the pictures. We enjoyed a lovely AC which kept us nice and cool during the hot days, we loved the beautiful decor and the best part was the balcony! We had a spacious balcony with a nice hot tub and space to sit with cushions. We also had the most amazing views of the sea!! We received nice clean towels every day for both outdoors and indoors. The housekeeping lady was so lovely and cleaned our rooms so well every single day. One day, we decided to stay in the room and Matthia still rang us to ask if we wanted to get our room cleaned today which I thought was very thoughtful! The room came with a mini fridge which was also very helpful to keep our drinks cool. Our breakfast was fine, yes there is not that many options however, I usually have a basic breakfast at home so I was more than happy with my cereal, croissants cakes and orange juice! There was one particular lady at breakfast, she was so welcoming and always spoke in greek and translated to English. I didn’t catch her name but I would call her the nice ‘kalimera’ lady as she always greeted us with a lovely good morning. The pool area was quiet most the time so we were able to have the pool to ourselves most the time which was great.

There isn’t much not to like about Gianna Suites. My only suggestions for improvement would be scents for the rooms and a wider selection for the continental breakfast

All the staff were exceptionally friendly and more than helpful when it came to organising day trips, booking transport and also giving recommendations for restaurants and must see locations across the island.

Having been to the Greek Islands many times, I knew what to expect. Location just 15min walk from centre of Fira. Close enough to enjoy the tavernas and bars overlooking the Caldera and good distance away to avoid the busy town centre. The receptionist Matthia was extremely helpful and had a very pleasant and cheery manner.
