Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

AustraliaIt's not that I didn't like anything at all it's just you have to expect small pokey rooms but they do the job. For my first and last stay I went with ones that have a small ensuite bathroom which I would advise. The cheaper room I had on my second stay had no bathroom and was on the top floor which is quite the climb in summer heat. Beware that it's stairs only to all floors.
Location is where it's at. I stayed here 3 times on my recent trip as Athens, as it was a hub for my travel. It's such a handy central location, right near Monastiraki metro and right in the centre of Athens. My first and third rooms were at the back, so I didn't hear any late night street noise. Staff were friendly. Aircon was welcomed!!!

United KingdomIt's not luxury - the room is small and mine was without an external window - but the shared shower was adequate and the very central Athens location made experiencing down-town Athens and everyday Athenian life, very easy. It's not top of the range by a long way - but it's exceptionally cheap.
For the exceptionally low price, it was entirely satisfactory - and the VERY central location, with a great view of the Acropolis from the shared balcony, I was entirely happy.

AustraliaWifi did not work well in our room at all. There are lots of stairs to climb if you’re on the 4th floor, but this is not uncommon in Europe! They have a lift available for luggage only.
The location is perfect - it is in a very lively area, and close walking distance to everything. Despite being in a busy area, noise is not an issue. It is close to lots of shops and excellent food/dining options. The place also feels secure/safe given the 24 hour reception. We were warmly greeted each time we came and went from the accommodation. We were lucky to havema balcony and view of the acropolis from our room on the 4th floor! Other pros of this accommodation is a comparatively earlier check-in time. Shared bathroom is not too bad surprisingly, good water pressure and it is all kept clean.

AustraliaShower and toilet in small bathroom together, so water everywhere, but we were expecting this so it didn’t really bother us.
Location was perfect for our one night in Athens. Can see the Acropolis at the end of the street and it’s a 5 min walk to the Monastiraki metro. Room was basic and not a lot of space, but we didn’t spend a lot of time there. Staff were nice and front desk always manned, so room felt secure.

ItalySome noise from the street and from the other rooms, since they’re not soundproof - earplugs could help.
A great budget hotel - no frills, but everything it takes for a great stay. The beds and pillows are new and comfortable, the AC works well and the hotel location is perfect - central, safe and with a great view of the Acropolis. After all, who cares if the closet or the lamp are a bit old? :) And, most important thing, the staff is soooo kind and friendly! I will definitely book again next time I’m in Athens!
