Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Apostolis was a great host. Kind and helpful in every way. He was there to greet us when we arrived and presented us with a bottle of wine, a bowl of fruit and some delicious breakfast cakes, but other than that he completely respected our privacy, whilst being quick to respond on Whatsapp when we had a couple of things we needed to ask him. Elis Superb Villa is in a fantastic position in the hills overlooking Ierapetra. And the villa really is nice. Roomy, beautifully furnished, well-equipped and spotlessly clean. The air-conditioning was a blessing, as we were there when it was really hot. A particularly good feature was the fact that the bedroom we used, as well as having air-conditioning, had mosquito netting over the window which was highly effective, enabling us to relax in the large and comfortable bed at night with the window open. But for us perhaps the best feature was the beautiful covered terrace where we spent our evenings eating, drinking and admiring the stunning views down to the sea and Ierapetra. Thanks, Apostolis. We give Elis Superb Villa our highest recommendation and look forward to staying there again.

Amazing house with stunning sea and mountain views is located in 20 minutes drive from Ierapetra. It’s ideal stay if you like privacy and tranquility as there are almost no neighbors close by. The house has also spacious terrace and additional outdoor facilities like grill area. All rooms are fully equipped, there is everything you need. Comfortable beds and chairs, plenty of kitchenware and air conditioners on every floor. Overall, It’s very cosy and comfortable stay. The host is very welcoming and helpful. While having enough privacy you feel very welcomed and cared for just as you are visiting your family.

Amazing host and location. Sea views and peaceful olive orchards all around. Easy 15 minute drive into the city where there are beaches, restaurants and other things to do. Large kitchen and plenty of places to hang out as well if you don’t want to make the drive into town. Again, can’t say enough about Apostolis the host, helpful with things to do and very welcoming.
