We just returned back after spending 3 nights with them and I can honestly say that had a truly magical and amazing time over here. When we arrived we were greeted very nicely and given a lot of helpful information for our itinerary and a porter helped us with the luggage which was very helpful with the steps and the kids. The highlight of the trip was the incredible sunset views straight from our suite, the never ending and delicious breakfast which kept us full till late evening and the hot tub. The pillows were so comfortable that we had the best sleep. The rooms were cleaned every day and the towels were changed . Bathroom had a lot of complimentary toiletries. A big thank you to Chris and his wonderful wife for making our trip extra special...

There is a lot of steep stairs to get to the property and it’s definitely not for older people. The room was very small, but still had everything we needed

The location is at the very tip of the island, on the harbor below Oia. I you are not interested in all the action of town this is a perfect place. We had a lovely view of the sunset and the harbor. There are several restaurants on the harbor for dinner and breakfast was included in the room. The hosts were helpful, booking a boat ride for us and giving recommendations.

It was perfect.

It is a unique property with amazing views and sunset location. The host was friendly and nothing was to much trouble. The cave house was set in the hill side with quirky little features and beautifully decorated and furnished. It’s a wow property and a unique experience.

The breakfast was incredible and included plenty of delicious items. The hosts went out of their way to make our stay amazing by assisting with reservations, communicating and being available. The other staff was also very friendly and helpful.

One of the best locations in Oia to view the sunset. Whilst the walk to Oia town was difficult with a 4 year old our host, Chris, arranged taxis whenever needed. He also provided superb service and arranged all excursions!

The host and his wife hands down they are best, also I don’t know why secret gem has low score for the breakfast. If you stay here you are going to get a excellent Greek breakfast and not your daily typical breakfast.

We asked Chris for an earlier breakfast for the first day, as we had a boat trip booked we had to get to. Breakfast usually comes at 9.30 and we had to leave at 9 for the boat trip. He has seen the message but never replied. He might have been very busy, but it would have been an easy thing to accommodate I believe!

The location is the best thing about the property. Oia is very crowded especially at sunset, so the fact that we had a private terrace to watch it just several steps down from Oia was perfect! The property is in Ammoudi bay, so better arrive in the bay and go up the stairs to the property. Otherwise it’s a longer way down from Oia. There are also lots of really good fish restaurants in the bay. Chris was very accommodating, allowing us to check in earlier and also helping with my bag on the stairs up to the property. When we arrived we realised the shower had a blocked drainage and we let Chris know. He sent someone to sort it out in just a few minutes!

Chris was great, went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying our time. He helped us book a boat tour along with a taxi back to the airport.

Not so much to dislike. Be aware that to there you need to walk the last trait from the port area (Chris will help you thou) and if you want to walk to Oia you need to climb some pretty steep stairs.

Nice room with amazing view, especially for sunset views. The manager Chris welcomed us and helped throughout the stay with tips and bookings. The room was small but nicely sized for our needs.

On the day of arrival, the owner, Chris, met us in person, showed us the room, and gave us the keys. On the day of departure, Chris sent us off in person as well. Chris helped us on finding the private tour of the island and transportations to/from the airports, which saved us time and money. Chris has done a fabulous job of taking care of its guests! The location of the hotel is outstanding. Several nice restaurants are one min away where you can enjoy the best seafood in town while watching the sunset. The hotel does have a private deck to watch the sunset as well. The rooms are clean, everything is new, and the decorations are beautiful. The included breakfast was fantastic, all of us loved very much.

room is quite small, if you come from upstairs it’s a horrendous walk all the way down so better find the way to come with the car from car park. male owner is quite a moody person
