When we ordered room service, the staff member came fully into the room which was a bit uncomfortable. To improve, I would suggest for room service room to just be dropped off at door!

The facilities and view were absolutely amazing! The pool was incredible and the free shuttle to Chania Old Town was so good. The staff were all so friendly and we loved having the option of the restaurant, which served some of the best food we had all trip. Great buffet breakfast too with lots of options. We organised a day trip through the hotel too and it was so easy to organise, highly recommend we’d love to return soon.

My partner said that the air conditioner was a little bit loud but the hotel prepared the earplugs by your bedside as well (which my partner did not use).

We arrived to the hotel a couple of hours earlier than the check-in time and were already offered storage, shuttle service, or pool service while we wait. We decided to stay at the pool and enjoyed the food and bar services there, it was great! The pool has amazing view! They offered sunscreen and after sun products as well to which I think were left by guests but I loved the idea! Now, the room was comfy, a little bit snuggly but it was good. The breakfast was really good and well presented. It has airconditioned room but we decided to sit outside and enjoy our last amazing glimpse of Chania.

Excellent hotel, both my boyfriend and I had a great time. Very clean rooms. The breakfast was delicious, varied and always something different. The staff were very kind and available for every need! Should we return to Crete, the perfect accommodation will certainly be Royal Sun.

I would highly recommend Royal Sun to anyone visiting Chania. The combination of excellent service, fantastic amenities, and a breathtaking view makes it a top choice. The hotel exceeded all my expectations in every way. I look forward to returning here on my next trip to Chania. Special kudos to reception team! You guys are amazing!

The hotel and staff are wonderful! Photos do not do this hotel justice. The staff are warm, pleasant and extremely helpful. The free shuttle bus into Old Town, Chania, is a fabulous service. The Breakfast was fresh, cooked in small batches so always fresh. The team in The Hill restaurant are ready to help explain any traditional foods. The hotel grounds are clean, pool is lovely.

Our room was very small , there was not a lot of space to put luggage or to put things in bathroom. Rooms a bit noisy not for outside noise but you can hear other guests.

Highly recommend Royal Sun Chania. The hotel was beautiful and all the staff were amazing. We stayed here as part of our honeymoon and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay special, especially the lady at the reception desk unfortunately I cannot remember her name. The shuttle to and from the old town was great and all drivers very friendly and chatty. Our room was beautiful with an amazing view, very comfortable bed and the house keeping were very good, new towels and water in the room everyday. The location is perfect. Will definitely return to Chania and stay at Royal Sun again

Our room was very tiny. It had a lovely view but it was not comfortable. The bathroom was not adequately lighted. We were showering in the dark.

The view from our room and the dining room was gorgeous. The breakfast was outstanding. One of the best in all our travels. The staff were outstanding and the pool was lovely.

Room was excellent ,the shutters blocked out the sun form room which was great int he mornings ,it was quiet week so we were lucky not a lot of noise around as we had room at pool front ,pool was lovely ,most of staff excellent some better than others but all very pleasant and very welcoming . restaurant was excellent ,we ate in restaurant at night twice and food great although some dishes could do with a sauce as bit dry .pasta was one of the best I've ever eaten. Overall fantastic hotel ,shuttle bus tot he centre great ,but taxis home also very cheap ,stunning views.

The room was a bit noisy. We could hear the people from the rooms next to us and also in the corridor. The fridge inside the room was also very noisy sometimes. The illumination in the room and bathroom could also be a little better.

For a 3-star hotel, I was not expecting this much. The hotel was very clean, the breakfast was exceptional with plenty of variety of food, the staff was always very helpful and nice. We arrive pretty earlier than the check-in hour and left later than the check-out hour as well, and they let us use all the hotel facilities on both ocasions (minus the room, obviously). The location is not really in Chania city centre. However, they have a great free shuttle service that gets you there every half an hour, which makes the location of the hotel perfect as well. Even though we also rented a car to explore the island, the shuttle service was great to go to the city centre without taking the car with us. The view from the breakfast room and the pool were outstanding. The gym was well equipped for a hotel gym.. I'm very pleased with the hotel!

The hotel and rooms are a bit dated. There was a water leak on the terrace & the sunbeds are hard. It would be good if they had a simple liner to make it more comfortable. But what really disturbed me, was the noise. I had to turn off the fridge in the middle of the night, close the bathroom door and put earplugs in. Only after that, I could sleep. I still woke up in the morning because of bad isolation

Hotel has a beautiful view & not far from Chania center with the free shuttle bus (which you have to reserve). It's nice to be a out on a hill, but still fast in town The breakfast was good and the restaurant (which I didn't try, but this is where breakfast is served) is renewed and looks nice.

Pool seating areas could be improved and pool was not clean and freezing. Shower doors allowed water to leak all over floors.

Amazing uninterrupted views! Breakfast was good with a variety of choices and the restaurant was impressive. Great gym facilities too. Staff were incredibly helpful, welcoming and friendly.

If you're a light sleeper like me, BRING EARPLUGS WITH YOU. The only thing that slightly bothered me here was that the walls and the doors seemed to have been made out of cardboard (at least on the second floor where I stayed). I could hear absolutely everything; someone living down the hall - not even next door - put on some music from his phone and started to sing around midnight and they could've just as well been by my bedside. With earplugs I didn't mind the snoring, singing and/or frisky neighbors though and I would still go back in a heartbeat.

We couldn't have been happier with our choice of a hotel! It's located a few kilometers outside of the center and the old town but this was only a positive thing for us - lying by the pool (a big and clean pool for that matter) it was actually calm and quiet with only some birdsong to be heard. The hotel also provided a free shuttle every half an hour to the center and back so the distance was not an issue whatsoever. The staff was a m a z i n g, I can't compliment them enough. It must've been the warmest welcome I've received at any hotel, in any country, and they kept being so genuinely kind and helpful for our whole stay. The restaurant upstairs offers you the best sunset view in town and we actually ended up having dinner there almost every night since the food was also great there. The breakfast buffet was so great as well, with a big variety of food and omelets made to order. If (and hopefully, when) I return to Chania, I will definitely stay at Royal Sun again.
