The hotel is way past its best and needs some serious TLC. The rooms we booked had a small kitchenette, but there was insufficient cutlery, crockery and cooking utensils to be able to use it to any extent, which was a shame as we hoped to cook breakfast ourselves. In one of the rooms we booked, the kettle did not work. the hairdryer did not work, the toilet seat was broken etc, so disappointing overall.

The location was good and just a short walk from the village, but note that the first 30 metres is up a steep bank. The pool although small was good, but there are limited sunbeds as the area is quite small. The staff were very friendly and tried to help us with any issues as best they could. The rooms were clean.

we were told the reception is always open, while we arrived in the early afternoon with nobody present, no answering by phone for 15 min and arriving 30 min after the call...

It was a little faded but clean and the room was a reasonable size. I would say it was very good value for the money and the location was lovely. Ideal if you plan to spend your time exploring and not just sat by the pool.

There were some problems, but they were solved.

Lovely little place to stay. The area is beautiful and peaceful. And down to Hersonissos is not far. People in the hotel are very friendly and helpful. Thank you!

there where tourist that was making noise the whole night, and jumping in the pool when it was 05:00 am. the AC did not work because we came 03:00 am, it cost’s 5euro to use it, but we didnt get a chance to pay extra beacuse the staff does not work nights

Everything about cleanliness and comfort was not as expected. The best thing about the accommodation was the air conditioning.

Nothing I liked, during 7 days they cleaned the room only once and there were not enough towels for that period, there is no water heater and no washing machine. The room service was very bad, the floor is dirty and there is no cleaning material to clean it

The place was nice and quiet, nice walk to the beach, just a bit to the hill when walking back. The owner was very kind and helpfull if there was something necessary, everything arranged quickly. Swimming pool clean and warm. The room was also nice, spacy and clean, with at least one balcony. Some rooms have also teracce. The village Koutouloufari is very nice and traditional place with many tavernas with nice food, people and beautiful houses. I would recommend this for sure.

Maybe just that it is located on a hill so be prepared. We rent s scooter for all time so it wasn't a problem. And maybe a wi-fi - there is a weak signal inside the room, but it's good at the reception. That's all. We're in LOVE with Romantica.

We were staying at Romantica for 17 days for our honeymoon. We chose it because of a cheap price. And there is nothing much to expect for that price, BUT!! the place exceeded our expectations. First of all it is a good looking place from the outside. It has a pretty nice sea view. It has pretty good location, it close to beautiful small beach Aleko's garden and Stalida's nice long beach is near too. Inside whole hotel was spotlessly clean throughout our stay. Every day, every corner you won't find any trash or a spot. The room was perfectly clean too, beds, bathroom, kitchen and all of the dishes too. Pool was warm and clean. I wasn't expecting that for this price, and prepared to clean the room by myself but The Staff - Lisa and Jan...oh my god...The People who just making your joy there. Every time they offered to change bed sheets, towels, to clean room from the sand, anything...We was just enjoying life and not worrying about anything. By the way, any questions we had - we went to Lisa or Jan and every problem was solved, every question was answered. We came to ask Them huge amount of questions and they told us everything. Our vacation turned incredible interesting just because of Them. They told us about Preveli, Voulisma - we would never had in mind to go there, but we did, and that was awesome. Staff had been helping us with everything. They are The People. That kind who I met just a couple times in life. So kind, so good, everyday hardworking bees, but anytime you talk with Them - always in a beautiful mood charging you with it, ready to help you not just by words. Unbielivable! At the end we had a problem with transferring to the aiport because of time, we might have missed the flight, we spoke with Lisa and Jan and just imagine the greatness: they offered a help by getting us there early in the morning! Can you believe? I do believe now. You want to feel love of Crete? Stay in Romantica Apts!!!

It’s a newly opened apartments being run by new owners, so there’s some little snags. The rooms have very poor soundproofing, which combined with the copious amounts of noise from groups of lads made it a bit difficult to sleep sometimes. Maybe a curfew on loud music would be good, since often the reception music was drowned out by other peoples speakers. If you’re staying here to be away from the strip, be aware the strip may still come to you ;-) However, that’s not the apartments fault! Just would be nice to have some better soundproofing. Not too much space around the pool, 8 sunbeds, so again if there’s large groups then you’ll be hard pushed to relax there. Overall the benefits greatly outweigh any negatives and it’s still fantastic value for money and was a very pleasant experience.

Incredible location overlooking the sea and the port! The room was extremely spacious and exceptionally clean on arrival. The pool was regularly cleaned, as with every other part of the place. The highlight is definitely the staff, had great chats with Lisa and nothing ever felt like too much! Great recommendations and always a super friendly welcome. You’re getting absolutely incredible value for money in my opinion, very chilled vibes, bar, ping pong table, pool.. Awesome end to our trip. Thank you for being so great guys!!
